There are many swimming classes in public swimming pools. I think they are good enough for our kids.
So we just approach any coaches we see at the public pools? How to go about it?

My dd had been 'learning' swimming during her PE lessons in P1 and P2. Until now still cannot swim..

Ah PE lesson got swimming class one ah...so good ah... which swimming pool they use ?

Yeah all P1 and P2s have swimming during their PE lessons. They held it at Buona Vista swimming pool.

But as KSP said, the effectiveness is really doubtful
Are you saying they do it during class hours e.g. between 12:45pm to 6:pm ? How many instructors there to teach ? Need to pay or not ?
My dd is in one of these classes. As the top 80 mainstream students are placed in these classes, i am using this as a yardstick as to how she is doing as she paces herself towards psle. My hope is that she remains in one of these classes at p5/6 and thereafter enters the sec school of her choice.

Do you mind sharing what are the kind of results P3 kids expected to have before they are placed into E&F classes? So that parents like us know what is the benchmark to work towards.

                Thanks 🙂

I also want to know leh...
My dd's P2 form teacher told us her level ranking during the PTC last year, maybe u can ask ur dd's P3 teacher during the mid year PTC to give urself a gauge

My dd is not going for national team. I will be happy if she can swim a few laps at her own timing. I'm also looking for a swimming coach with decent fee.
