other swimming instructors...kid needs to go through evaluation and they put him/her in the right class (based on his/her swimming standard)..need to pass one level before proceeding to the next...has certification somemore....it is more systematic in a way....

Herbie:
GEP maths and science goes beyond the primary sch syllabus and include sec topics too.

I have one GEP kid at home ...

My dd is in one of these classes. As the top 80 mainstream students are placed in these classes, i am using this as a yardstick as to how she is doing as she paces herself towards psle. My hope is that she remains in one of these classes at p5/6 and thereafter enters the sec school of her choice.

:congrats: :celebrate:

I wish all the P3 parents here can proudly say either one of the two statements above next year.

\"My dd is in GEP or E/F class!!!\" :rahrah:

Try APS Swim School (By Ang Peng Siong). Venue : Anglo-Chinese Junior College Sports Complex.

Thanks.. but this sounds very premium and expensive ah??

Not really la...i think everybody can afford that...try giving them a call...
you need to go for an evaluation first...

http://www.apsswim.com
http://www.apsswim.com/main.htm

It seems quite expensive for beginner compare to other swimming class.
*Fees $113.40 Per Student / Per Month
Duration 30 / 45 Mins. Session / Once A Week
Participant For 30 Mins Session:
2 PER SWIM TEACHER

For 45 Mins Session:
4 PER SWIM TEACHER FOR STATION 1 ~ 3
5 PER SWIM TEACHER FOR STATION 4 ~ 6

I once sent my DD to Singapore sports school for swimming lesson, the course was about 80/month. My DD is learning swimming in Safra club, the course fee is only 60/month. The public swimming pool also provide swimming class, the course fee is about 50/month.

Very curcious to know how good ASP is.

Yup can be very challenging being in top 80 class, really got to work hard to stay on. 9 pupils were transfered back to mainstream last year, I guess with the introduction of subject based banding

Aren't the students kept intact in their classes from P5 to P6? That is, if you're in P5E/F, you'll be in P6E/F?
Yes, they are kept intact from p5 to p6. My dd is in p4 so there is one more round of streaming for her.
