I've also heard mixed comments about Greenwood Primary. But I agree with raysusan that every schools has their good and bad.
Raysusan, can you pls share more on the teachers and the school?
BTW, I am also considering this school for my DS2, registering next yr. Just curious, sometimes when I happen to pass by the school around 8.00am, why are there students just entering the school ? Do the lower primary students (supposed to be in afternoon session) need to go to school so early for activities / classes?
Thanks. -

Hi Hifive
lower primary students have the option of taking up CCAs (badminton, basketball, angklung, art club, choir, chinese dance, etc) which usually last from 8 to 10am. Supplementary/remedial lessons (if any) are usually from 10/10.30am to 12nn. -
Hi Parents,
I believe Si Ling used to be called Marsiling Pr Sch and is the 'oldes' sch in Marsiling/Woodlands area. Woodlands Pr Sch is the second one and has been in Woodlands since about 35 yrs ago, though shifted fm one part of Woodlands to another. Why do I know? B cos I was fm Woodlands Pri Sch  However, I do not know the standard of the school now  -

Thanks for your reply. I supposed CCA and supplementary/remedial classes do not fall on the same day, right? Otherwise the children will have a long day of lessons in school. -
Hifive:
Oh, they can be on the same day. Different kids choose different CCAs, so not likely for teachers to fix lesson on day where everyone is free. The lesson (if any) is usually only once a week. Same for CCAs. For the upper primary (in morning session) - usually supplementary/ remedial (1+ to 3+) followed by CCAs (3+ to 5+).Hi DecJan

how about CCA for admiralty pri for lower pri kids? When is CCA compulsory for Admiralty pri kids?
Do they get the chance to have short courses on sports (eg, Chongfu teaches their P1 kids inline skating while Northland was learning some art stuff (think it was clay))?
Some people mentioned that Admiralty is very academically based, so does that mean that weaker children are left out or do they put in effort to help the weaker children? -
