Daddy

Good news if staying within the new GRC/SMC of your preferred sch... cos' all the GRLs would have been forefeited, if really the case..... :celebrate:
With all these changes, likely P2B application ratio for the popular schools will drop this year and next year. Existing GRLs are not eligible anymore and those staying in the new GRC/SMC don't have the time to join as GRL
The ratio will probably go up again in 2 years time
every election will cause a reset on application rate on this path
Good observation. Time will tell if they allow exception for those already serve in the past years to be entitled to P2B for schools in the old GRCs.

Dorisp,
Is there anyway to find out? Can we call PA to check?dorisp:

Hi i3mum
Frankly I am not a GRC member but like many parents here, I understand the agony of those whom having served their time and to receive the news of a change in their GRC at this hour.

I think not the best time to call PA to check... cos' all busy with the GE preparation... later kena #@$# by them... but then again... if you do ask... let us know the answer.Dorisp,

I just called. They can't decide either.
Think we have to check again. Do you all think if more Affected GRL raise this issue, it may help?Daddy

Yes I think it will, give it a try. Just like those 2008 babies bonus. They change the effective date 1/1/2009 to Aug 2008.

Does anyone knows if let's say I move house, can I be switched to another RC as grassroots leader? Or I have to reapply as a observer & start all over again?

I think affected GRL should bring it up to their respective constituencies. We may not get a definte answer instantly but at least they get direct feedback and can bring it up for discussion. Personally I do have faith that they would make sensible decisions. -

I agree. And try to call PA too.
I wonder 5 years ago, did they keep to the old GRC or new GRC?
Or at least they should say effective from 1 Sept 2011.Flower Power:
