Brain Tuitions
-
Hi Frenz,
Will you send your kids for brain tuitions? :?
Tuition to train the brain (Ref : the Sunday Times, 30 Jan 2011)
Parents are sending kids for brain stimulation () classes which claim to improve their mental abilities
Prices range from $1000-$10,000 :!:
P.S: How about playing some instrumental music in the background which is equally stimulating & of course FOC?
-
Iām doubtful if this will work.

It does help.
My kids are very good examples.
PM you.

ho wabmon, can share how the back ground music works for yr kids? Tx
-
Hi wabmom, can share over here what kind of brain stimulation you had or sent your children to and how old are they? I think it should be ok to share over here unless you are advertising something for yourself?

I am also wondering if I should send my child for such courses instead if tuition doesn't help but PSLE is just around the corner, plus the fees for such courses are usually very expensive, quite doubtful if it will really work too and how long to see results? :?

Hi ppnqq, you might want to check out the website below. I have attended their previews and have heard quite a few parents' testimonies.

Thanks Blesseddad for the recomd but it is too far and inconvenient, also doubtful about all these mid brain activation because it just seem so much like 'Reiki style'. Wonder it could be someone who just 're-packaged/modify' it to be more like brain stimulation to attract more parents. :?
JMHO. -
well, I did some research on the web and came out with an explanation on how this \"activation\" method works.

and here's the youtube explanation.

the kids actually see through a tiny gap between the eye mask and the nose. They train the kids not to tell their parents about it.
The real test is when you give them a pair of goggles that doesn't let light in. Maybe a pair of swimming goggles painted with black paint on the outside. If the kid can still read with the blackened goggles, I'll believe this.
oh, and here's one more evidence of the scam:

I like the Dilbert cartoon at the end of the page.

Thanks cimman for the great info, that's very insightful!
Cannot imagine parents paying a few thousand dollars for their children to learn to lie and cheat on them! These ppl are just too unethical! OMG! :x
But let's hope there are some 'genuine' ones out there.
