All About Preparing For PSLE

Hi Pen88n,
I heard some sec schools are out to invite attendees for tea reception with principal, for special talent category. Anyone has any experience to share?
My friend's DD was \"talent scouted\" during the Gymnastics National Championships and subsequently, my friend plus DD were invited for tea with the P of RGS (with other slected candidates & their parents) and were invited to DSA with the sch. However, these selected candidates also need to sit for GAT and attend an interview with the sch as per other DSA sports applicants. -

Hi Tinkerbelle and Pen88nMum1113:
Made quick check with ds last night. Their FT asked the forms be verified (in terms of their name, mailing address and only 2 subjects mentioned per ds ie EL and CL ). FT mentioned payment no need at the moment. Not sure if this is the same form...
Hi MUm1113,
DD mentioned to me that some of her classmates also had missing subjects on their psLE registration form. The teacher told them to make the necessary amendments in pencil and she will submit to the relevant authories to get them updated in the MOE system.
Did your DS inform his teacher re 2 PSLE subjects only?
sounds like I better check personally with FT on Monday. DS is pretty certain only 2 subjects mentioned and FT did not verify \"if there are any missing subjects do let her know\"....hope we are talking about the same form, OMG, if not susah la

Sounds like a good idea checking with your DS's FT...just in case. If it's the same form we are talking about, at least she can still make amendments now. -

Better quickly go check with FT. I checked with DS again and he did not remember having any other form with only 2 language subjects to confirm.
Maybe that's why DS school teachers all ks and asked that parents check and sign instead of leaving it to the kids to check themselves...... -

as for my gal's school,.....
that yr (her psle year), yes, there was an invitation by RGS,
the school chose the top few girls in the cohort based on P5 results to submit their names to RGS.
yes, is still the same procedure as the rest of the pupils who wanna to DSA. -

So far, his school usually give DSA talks and invite the sec schools to give talks during the P5 / P6 parents-meet-teacher day. The sec schools will also set up booths for queries. All the parents will be either rushing round meeting the various teachers (4 subjects if all are different) or sitting in the hall listening to DSA talk or going round the booths asking questions. So far, some sec sch principals will be there too. -
