wow, I did not get it leh ..... DS might have missed it ?? anyway he was ks, fortunately got awards for the last few years ...
sorry pressed twice................fat fingers...........
I digged up Oct 2010 materials and found a Exam Matters circular. Yes, it was mentioned that if the student is unwell or on compassionate leave, results will not be taken into consideration for awards at year end. If he/she misses CA/SA, he/she will not be considered for year-end excellence award. If student misses paper due to representing school for competitions or other events, they'll have make-up exams and results will be reflected on results slip and considered for year-end Excellence awards.mommyNg:
Hi, just to check if parents rec'd a circular on Examination Matters. Is it the same all thru the years that if 1) Child is sick or on compassionate leave
his results will NOT be considered for any awards at the end-of-year.
However, if the child misses exams due to competitions and etc, the above does not apply.
Maybe, I've overlooked that it's the std practice all these years, as I only looked thru this circular in more detail this time.
The wordings from last year circular are almost the same as the one just given out... -

Hi, anyone has children doing a family tree project?
My ds went the family tree project once in P1 under moral edu and p5 under sci. Just paste the family pic and write a bit on them. -

Thanks for your reply. This year it is a primary 4 individual project for social studies. I wonder how many projects must they do for ss?babysz:

Anyone can enlighten me on this? How about other schools? Same for most?
never in the previous nine years from 2001 to 2010
It prob started only in 2010. But I was just wondering... Is it a fair policy? Afterall, having to take such leave or MC is beyond anybody's control, wonder if it's a std practice for all schools or only for Nanyang :? -
Trileets is probably right. Only received same circular in P2 & P3 this year. As there was officially no CA and SA1 in P2 last yr, my DS was not penalised for absence fm a small CL test where marks was taken into consideration for SA2. Like verykiasu, luckily DS already got HA prizes for the last 2 yrs. This year in HA class, everyone is full or almost fullmarks
, so no hope liao. -
anyone know which year was that - whereby NYPS got split from NYGH ?
and then those parents from NYGH Secondary school BEFORE the primary school split from the secondary - can still be eligible for phase 2A, but NOT AFTER they split ?
which fateful year was that ?
