:rotflmao: :rotflmao: my DS may take 3 minutes to an hour, depending whether he brings his model planes in to bath room, sometime must simulate airplane flying through turbulence and storm ....

Ha… this is interesting.
My son (5 y.o.) had been taking showers independently for about half a year. He is a really slow-mo fellow in whatever he does, which means shower too. After closing the bathroom door, he’ll take his own sweet time to undress, take his own sweet time to wet the floor before wetting himself, take his own sweet time to do everything.
I don’t mind him taking his own sweet time, as it means he’ll be wasting his own time. Thus, lesser time to do other things (play, in particular). BUT I do mind him upping the family’s utility bill.
So… go ahead and take your own sweet time, but the heater will be off after ten mins! (that’s the only thing I can control without compromising his safety & hygiene). -
that’s a clever idea - turning off the heater!
my 8 yo girl takes quite a long time, plus conditioning her hair sometimes. she must singing n playg a long time too. i’d try that trick -
Know of someone who is complaining hair of her kid not wash well, still got soap. Everyday bath hardly few minutes come out, sometimes with bubbles in the hair.
Finally her message seems to get across the kid. The kid suddenly become very clean. Bath for at least half an hour and about 4 times per day. Then the mother is complaining again. This time, complaining that he bath so many times, bath so long, waste water.
So which one does she want? Kid very clean or kid not bath well but save water?
For me, I rather have a very clean kid, waste water also ok, as long come out clean. -
but bath 4 times a bit too many right? twice at most is enuf to me

My son can bath in 5 min while my daughter takes 30 min to bathe. My son doesn’t even bother to dry his body properly after bathing. You can imagine his clothes will be wet when put on. I have given up nagging on him. While my girl uses 2 big towel to dry herself.

glad to know tht it is a 'common-happy' problem.
dds takes abt 30-40mins in the shower room. either they are playing or standing under the shower. their reason is tht it feels good when the water run down on them. there are times i caught both of them lying down on the shower room floor... they said it feels like shower under the rain & it's flooding!!
