For the primary schools, he said there are not much difference between popular and neighbourhood schools. But he encourages abled primary schools children to work harder and get into better secondary schools. I guess he will talks about the programmes offered in DHS and some better secondary schools, how it will help Singapore etc...
i dunno, this was what the P saidWeiHan:
Is that the only reason? There are other schools that are both IP and SAP. But I wonder if he picks the school himself or he asked MOE to pick one school for him that satisfies his criteria.
ya, there are still other sec schs ard.
btw, there was a press conference at the library with reporters present, so maybe can watch out on TV for more info. -
Just saw the news clip on MM Lee visiting DHS. DHS has a nice library! And they have a hostel as well?

yes, they have a nice 2-storey, library with a cafe in it.
the pupils like to go to the cafe to eat becos it is comfortable but it's costlier,
so they restrict themselves to a number of times per wk.
and yes, they have a hostel. -

So nice! Who gets to stay at the hostel?jtoh:

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew received a very enthusiastic welcome from students when he arrived at Dunman High School for a visit.
There, MM Lee interacted with the pupils in class and shared his thoughts on top schools versus neighbourhood schools in Singapore. -
