For swimming, there is compulsory swimming enrichment in P3...

So are the swimming lessons consider CCA and is conducted outside school time or is it part of PE lessons and is conducted during school time ?

As far as I know some schools do have 2 VP.

I remember the school mentioned that there is a maths workshop for parents of P1 during the P1 briefing. The workshop is this sat, any idea what is the timing like and where is it being held?

Understand that the maths briefing is on 12March morning Remember to bring your pencil and ruler !

Hi Mamemo, the maths briefing is on the 12th? I tot its indicated in the handouts during P1 briefing that its on the 5th??? If its changed, why no update till now since 5th is this weekend and where did you get the info that its rescheduled to 12th? Appreicate your kind advise. Thanks.

Thanks.[/quote]Hi Marmum, info is from my DS's FT. So should be quite accurate. Think timing is from 11am to 12.30pm. Maybe they will give out the handout these 2 days

Yup, the teachers use this book differently. My daughter, currently in P2, has just started using this more frequently. In P1, she hardly use the book.

My girl in 1F uses the grammar book but not very often...

I am very puzzled about this whole teaching curriculum. While it might be true that teachers have different styles, pace and ways of teaching, it can't be so diiferent within the same level right? How come some students use the books regularly while some didn't touch the book at all?? If I am not wrong, the steller materials did refer to the grammar book for some exercises to be done... then those students did't do at all??

But seriously, some fundamentals of English grammar need to be taught and drill into the kids. Personally I feel that more supplements need to be given on top of the steller materials...
