How long your child take for showering?

but bath 4 times a bit too many right? twice at most is enuf to me

Reason is after each poo, have to bath and change clothes. :lol:

dds takes abt 30-40mins in the shower room. either they are playing or standing under the shower. their reason is tht it feels good when the water run down on them. there are times i caught both of them lying down on the shower room floor... they said it feels like shower under the rain & it's flooding!! :lol:

:lol: Not dirty lying down on the bathroom floor? Have try open mouth to drink the water when lying down? My child (2 year old) feel like drinking the bathtub water, but when give the normal drinking water, dont drink.

Waoh... lucky kids to have the luxury of doing things they enjoy with no concerns in the world.


Too bad for my kids, their mummy is a \"paranoid\"... ... to a certain extent, not extreme. Paranoid about breeding unacceptable habits, paranoid about injustice, paranoid about Mother Earth going to die!!!

I am paranoid enough to spot potential problems, but not enough to \"die-die must eradicate the problem\". Thank goodness that I'm still sane! So, I inform them of the possible reactions that comes along with their actions (Newton's 3rd Law), give them some leeway and they'll have to learn/figure out how to \"maximise their pleasures with the amount of resource they have\".

Resource management, I feel, is important and it has a lot to do with habits. To me, Time, Money, Patience, Food, Electricity, Water, Paper, blaa-blaa-blaa are all resources. Irregardless of age, there's no excuse for me as a parent, not to create awareness in my kids that resources are limited.

I know, I know, it only about shower... chill. BUT I see an opportunity to tell them something. Resources are limited, the ONLY UNLIMITED \"resource\" is my love to them (lots of hugs & kisses, but never indulgence).

i can only foresee that if they are used to changing clothes after each poo or each outing, when they grow up, u hv will tonnes of clothes to wash - by machine, ok but if its delicate clothings, wow, got maid nvr mind. if no maid, the poor mummy has to wash lah…

BTW, what problem could possibly happened if the kid doesn’t wash away the soap completely?


Just itch right? Nothing permanent? Can just let them itch for a day or two, and tell them that’s the result of them not being thorough in their washing or not?

Sorry… if no permanent problem, I’ll do so if need to (thankfully, no need now). Rather than nagging them everyday. I’ll be tired and they’ll get sick of listening.

Itch might last longer if they have sensitive skin. Soap residue can stick to sofa or bed where they sleep?

Not sure how much damage can using more water do more harm to Mother Earth as compare to those who is burning paper every single Chinese festival - 7th month burn paper, chinese new year, mooncake festival also burn... etc.
