three weeks ago, i wrote in to MOE inquire about the temporary holding site.

MOE just reply that they have not decided yet - they are still discussing, still looking into this matter / issue, where to hold rgps temporary holding site.

MOE reply me that once they have finalised the temporary location, they will inform rgps principal - who in turn will announce to entire school and to all affected parents.

so we just need to be patient …

If moving to Bishan, then probably, we have to drop the idea to register for RGPS. Please advise.

              Thanx a lot.
RGPS is really a good school. Not only it's GEP and PSLE results, it's education philosophy and teaching method are really good. Compare so many of other schools (my own experience or chatting with my friends), I feel RGPS is my first choice. 😄

Don't give up this chance unless you have confidence to enroll your DD to another top school.

Thanx. Its assuring to hear it’s a good school.

Btw, how did RGPS fair in PSLE last year. Know they have GEP, but how the main stream doing? Do they offer higher chinese in P1 level?

My gal is stronger in language. esp chinese.

Hope u can shed some light.

My DD is also strong in MT, and she is offered HMT from this year (additional 1 hour HMT class weekly). 90% of her classmates were offered HMT.

I'm not sure how fair RGPS is in PSLE last year. I know RGPS is not like other school, seperate students into top and normal class when they are in P3. They give all students more chances to develop equally. My DD said classes here are interesting, she likes to learn things in a fun and creative way. That's what I want, is to let my DD learn happily.

Another impression to me is that most of teachers here are experienced and stricted. I like the way they manage students.

overall, rgps psle standard dropped for 2010 - compared to 2009 psle results.

that was what i heard when some parents asked some teachers discreetly at a corner, during the parents detailed curriculum briefing / talk conducted recently in January 2011.

P1's from this year are doing higher chinese. if they have difficulty later on, they can drop it and carry on with the basic chinese.
