Do you know what is the highest EL score in twk 9? my son's EL result has dropped as expected, but i am very satisfied with what he got as i dun hv high expectation in his EL since last yr, and as long as he is still in the same range as his peers.
No idea too, any parents from TW9 to share ?
Only know TW8 highest is 84.5 ...thats all  ....
EL paper 2 must be super difficult, else why not even Band 1 results in TW8 class :scratchhead:
Cant wait to see the papers next Tues..

I think drop in score should be expected as they progress upwards, around the same range as his peers means that he has not deteriorated from his standard. πŸ˜‰ That is great!

Is It a Further Injection of a NEW Batch of PRC Kids? For If They DO Not Have Good Showing of GOOD Results, They Will Not Gain Admittance to PH, Right?

I once encountered a PRC mom while waiting at the gate. I overheard her telling another parent that many PRC moms whom she knew, managed to get their children transfered into PH. Of course, the information was never verified, but I do believe that many PRC parents are as KS as us native Singaporeans, maybe even more KS. Reminds me of the 'tiger mom' theory, maybe not to that extent, but could be close. I personally know a few who put alot of emphasis on their children's school works. Even when they are not able to coach themselves, they sent their children to top notch tuition centres and kept very close watch on their children's study schedule. With such determination from parents to groom their children, it is quite hard not to produce academic results. Just that, for me, I think there are many important things besides just exams and scores.

IJJ, it's a struggle for us too, right? I also feel that some parents r very concerned and watch their kids v closely, and that to a certain extent contributed to the jumps in their kids' grades. However, I'm reluctant to send my dds to branded tuition centers and load dem with extra classes etc as I'm afraid they wld b too reliant on tuition & external help. Not to mention the investment required :moneyflies: , Wat wld happen in sec school? Wld they be able to continue to excel if there are no tuition provided? :imdrowning:
So for now, I wld stil stick to tuition nonly for subjects dd is struggling with, and I can't really coach (math) and maybe will look into a creative writing class for her. Will persevere to work on training her self-discipline and self study skills (aim to be like E3 kids)
                  :please:

I didnt know wolfberries can b heaty too, some of my frens eat them dry as snacks

                      I think it's because it has a θ‘₯ factor.

Janet, its not that heaty, we put a handful in our soup regularly. And in the past when I was working, I have it daily in the office, a couple of it with red dates and a little warm water, v good for eyes. My kids luvs wolfberries too, espy in the lotus roots soup.
