      Hi MMM,

How your p3 ds find today's maths paper? My dd just managed to finish in time so no time to double check...

Yes he said it's tough. He said he checked but can't tell until they get back the paper as sometimes the pre-result comments cannot be trusted.

she said the paper is ok except a qn which she guessed the answer...There again her 'ok' sometimes is not ok...so has to wait for result.
A bit worry as now she already got no time to go through the answer then how about when she is in p4,5 & 6 😐 ...hope she can do faster eventually...

vlim- at the recent morning with teachers, my p4’s form teacher shared with us her observation that some of the students are too slow in doing their maths. at the rate they are going, they definitely won’t have enough time to finish their maths papers when in p5 & p6. she has taught p5 & p6 previously and so is able to share with us her insights. Her advise is to get the kids to do faster through constant practice. as excelling in maths is all about accuracy and speed, handwriting can be compromised a bit.

            Hi vlim, MMM

My ds is also P3 this year and he didn't have much time to check for his CA1 Maths paper. He is not only slow in calculation, his mind will always \"wander off\" after reading the questions. I have to always sit beside him and \"pull him\" back to do his homework. I always tell him I can't continue doing this as I'm not the one taking the exams...still finding a solution for this... very worry how is he going to manage when he is p4 onwards.

Anyway, we could take a little break now as CA is juz over 🙂

              Hi dinoking,

Ya… Now we can take ‘a little’ break as 2 mths later will come their sa1.

My dd also will wander off when doing assessment or will tell me what happen during the day …Haiz I think at this age, may be they are simply very curious about things happening around them …

Yes, it’s time for us to take a break from CA1. Err… before we see the results next week.

Actually they started to get back some of the papers. Just got a call from my ds on his CL results.

For Maths, yes my ds is also guilty of not being focus. The maths program he is in time how long they take to do each book. So he is focus when doing that. But if there is no timer, he will end up "chatting" so I always have to redirect his focus. But the biggest challenge is to ensure that he really CHECK his work after he completed. Not flipping pages but do a thorough check. This part is still a challenge and I am trying to build that in both my kids.

                        Hi everyone,

Anybody’s child from 3A to 3E? Are you letting your children participate in the coming camp at the Zoo?
