Understand that the maths briefing is on 12March morning 🙂 Remember to bring your pencil and ruler !

Hi Mamemo, the maths briefing is on the 12th? I tot its indicated in the handouts during P1 briefing that its on the 5th??? If its changed, why no update till now since 5th is this weekend and where did you get the info that its rescheduled to 12th? Appreicate your kind advise. Thanks.

Hi Marmum, info is from my DS's FT. So should be quite accurate. Think timing is from 11am to 12.30pm. Maybe they will give out the handout these 2 days :)[/quote]Just got a call from my girl's FT when reading this forum. I wrote the question about the math workshop in the diary so she's calling me to inform me of the date and time.

The handouts will be distributed this week and we have to indicate whether we are attending or not. Time is 11am to 12.30pm on 12th March.

Yah! Maybe the population is too big for the principal to handle. Since starting school, based on a couple of incidents, I find that the teachers are not very friendly and helpful. Adding to this, like the maths workshop which is to scheduled to be held this sat is postpone to next week and no info given yet till today which is juz two days away from the scheduled maths workshop. The school should advise us in advance like a week’s notice on changes as we need to plan our schedules too. I encountered a couple of situations whereby my child’s form teacher only give me a proper or reasonable answer only when I asked the 2nd time. Any comments on your child’s class teachers and the school administration?

My kid says the teachers are all very strict. Kids are punished by being asked to stand in front of the class, outside the class, face the wall and \"think about what (he) should have done instead\" haha!! Stomach cannot touch the desk when standing up to greet teacher. Teachers' response is fine for me. My kid's FT does not reply to email (quite elderly). But will call. Chief means of communication is via Pupil's Diary.

Why are the P2 parents attending the workshop too? Actually when is the model drawing going to be introduced in Pei Chun? P1 or P2?

I can accept the punishment stated above as long as its not physical or verbal humiliation. At least your teacher bothers to call you even thou she is quite elderly, mine needs to ask 2nd time then response. Spoke to her once and find that she is rather unhelpful and unfriendly. I understand that teachers are real busy but when I address the problem or issue that I really need her assistance as the child who is only 7 years old can't solve it, we need adults to lend a helping hand, she juz brush the matter and only response when asked her help for a second time.

My son’s FT fantastic. She is caring and responds to emails quickly. My son adores her. Glad he will be under her care for these two yrs.

Well I guess even the same teacher may response/react differently at differnt time… so if we really want to find out something or speak to the teachers, we have to be more persistent lor… die die get hold of them, hahaha…
