Besides P5 CA1 is usually the killer test. To send a strong signal to parents .... \"PSLE starts in P5 .. NOW and not in P6\"
Dun be too upset. Do you know how the entire level fares? Maybe it is a set of tough papers? Like the P4 EL papers, my girl told me that 9 of her classmates scored 60+, dropped from 90+ or at least 80+ last year (my assumption), could be very tough.janet_lee88:
Hi Parents,
So envious to see your kids score 90+. My son told me he flunk his Maths Paper 1
...still don't know what his Chinese and Science results are but doubt they will be good. English Band 3...don't know how to improve his results.
CA1 is only 10%, there are lots can be done. I am sure he would not be alone. Is he in Loyalty 1?
Don't be too sad ok. Cool down and look forward.

[/quote]Maybe because between the right and left brain .. for women there are like 4000+ connections and for men only 1000+. (Caveat: Numbers quoted are wrong .. but women in much higher no than men)

DD's favourite (not necessarily the best) subject used to be Eng but she's slowly shifting to Maths and now Science.

You mean like roller-coaster like that :stupid:
My son's results went downhill from P3...picked up a little at the end of SA2 in P3/4 but still the overall was pulled down by CA1 & SA1.
This year's Parent-Teacher meeting is brought forward...hopefully teachers can advise how to improve for SA1.
It's like this too for my DS1, when he was from P3 to P4, then P4 to P5...then P5 to P6
He 'll go ...'Mum u know for past 3 years me like roller coaster, so this year P6 expect roller-coaster for CA1 will you not ?..\"
However, so far P6 results (for whatever papers known so far) plus my own eyes to witness he really putting his foot down to work hard for such an important year, I must say sometimes parents have to learn to let loose a little , then hold a little, let loose a little again....in order to see desirable results :xedfingers: :xedfingers: for the rest of the subjects yet....
Take it easy Janet for the time being, as I am telling myself in order to keep Sane  -

Anyway, I agree generally speaking languages are at better hands on X factor (aka females), and MA and Science are generally master of Y factor
At least in my closest network, me and dh is like that laa....
