Happy Mama:
Now you got me reeealli curious. How high is high leh? Can share?
though it puzzles me how she got that IQ score (which was considered reasonably high) when she was 6 years old... but her results don't seem to tally with her IQ score leh...Either the IQ test wasn't accurate back then, or, she's an extremely late \"bloomer\"... but how late will that be? After PSLE or after O-levels?
Talking about IQ test, I remembered my sis telling me that my niece's kindy teachers were all suggesting to her to arrange an IQ test for niece. Since it costs time and money, sis didn't bother. Later on Shicida ctr conducted their internal IQ test for niece and her score was off-the-chart kind (> 200).
I know that Shicida's IQ test may not be universally accepted but even if she takes the Mensa one, I pretty sure my niece's score will hit the roof. She's really that good!

HI Parents,
Itβs possible we can hit 1000 pages in a short space of time after Science results are out. I am wondering if we can move the discussion of subjects to another thread. -

Yeah, keep trying. But if he has tried his best, i hope you will not over-push him. it will make him demoralised and lose self-esteem. i always tell my sons it is not so much the results, the most impt thing is that they try their best.
Will work on his speed and accuracy on Maths Paper 1.Trapwithin:
My son told me he flunk his Maths Paper 1
...still don't know what his Chinese and Science results are but doubt they will be good. English Band 3...don't know how to improve his results.
Keeping trying, never give up. -

IQ and academics result correlation is not very strong. In fact high IQ has a better chance to get into GEP. P1-3 students is differentiate mainly from careless mistake generally they know the stuff. Apart from carelessness, stamina, determination, confidence also play a part in their results. So relax lah... your dd will do well. :celebrate:markfch:
I feel that if her dd didn't get distracted by this cca, she'll be a shoo-in for Charity 3 since we know that by and large, the difference between the top strata of students is minimal. I believe only the top, top few students in the old Charity 3 will be able to put daylight between themselves and the rest.
Aiya, don't say like that la... and the tt was only for a short stint.... My DD is not the super duper intelligent kid. She's just slightly above average... though it puzzles me how she got that IQ score (which was considered reasonably high) when she was 6 years old... but her results don't seem to tally with her IQ score leh... and sometimes I feel like hitting my head against the wall when I see the blank look on her face as she forgets certain concepts I had already taught her. :stupid: :stupid:
Either the IQ test wasn't accurate back then, or, she's an extremely late \"bloomer\"... but how late will that be? After PSLE or after O-levels?
