Ballet vs Chinese dance

Thanks Funx3! Hmm... NAFA is a bit far away for me. Will keep that in consideration for now still though.
U could let her try Chinese Dance in NAFA.
Even I find it Cute and Fun, esp for the young kids.
At the time, I thought Chinese Dance Suits kids Very Well - Got lots of Animal Character movements, Sing-along (Children's Song) and Group Dance that simulate Children's Games ....

Oh, did your gal have to audition for NAFA? Thought they are quite stringent in their admission? -

No Need GEP.
Oh... to DSA under this domain for RGS or NYGH, does she has to be in the GEP classFunx3:
Hi EveryOne,
Just Stumbled into this thread today ....
Just to Share my Experience for My Gal ....
She Requested in Kindy Days to Go For Dance Class, Undecided bet Ballet and Chinese Dance, So attended Both ....
Chinese Dance in NAFA, Ballet in Nearby CC ....
Seeing No Improvement in Ballet in CC, Pull Her out to Join Ballet at NAFA after Grade 1 Exam ....
And She Enjoys Both Classes.
In P1, She is interested in Gym, so Go for this As CCA as Well ....
With Her Dance Background, she's selected to Represent School Team in Early P2, and Competes in inter-sch since then ....
Due to Clash in schedules, she has to choose One Dance Session in P3 ....
And She Has chosen Chinese Dance - Reason Being More \"FUN\" and Variety and She Enjoys It More .... And in Her Opinion, Ballet is Easier But Very \"Boring\" ....
My Gal is in P6 this Year and Doing Well in Both Her Chinese Dance and Gym. Have discussed with her to try for DSA using both Chinese Dance (NYGH) and Gym (RGS) later this year ....
By the Way, DSA thru Ballet is Quite Difficult ....
But will Have Advantage if wish to Enrol to SOTA (which is Largely Ballet Based).
So If Your Gals R still Young, Try Both. Then Let them Decide Later, Go by their Inclinations towards which Dance Form they Most Favoured. Afterall, they R the Ones who actually attend the Classes, they will know Better.

DSA under Sports, and DSA under Dance respectively.

But their Cut Off for the Past Few years has been 260 and Above ....
Considering that, If Your Child Score 200, Would You Want them to Be in the School?
So To Ease Tension ALL Round (Our Kid, T, Parents, School), Advisable to Assess our Kids Results First Before Trying for DSA in These schools ....
If Not Mistaken, Heard got Kid in the Range of 240 Plus / Minus Accepted ....
If Not There R still Other Reputable Sec Schools with Lower Cut Off to Consider for DSA ....

In the Application, still have to submit our kids Academic results for P5 and P6.

So the school Already got 1st sieving process internally.
But if got Confirmed Letter. The School will Honour their Offer even when PSLE results below their cut-Off (but must be above 200 points Express Stream cut off).
But ....
Like I Mentioned B4, If the Kid Got Results in the 200 points region, would U wish to Stressed them, to place them in a School with the 250 to 260 points kids?
Even for DSA under academic Results, Schools Not Necessary will offer every kid who meet their Cut-off, as well.
Know of GEP school Kids who R Not Offered in DSA. But they Get in Later with their PSLE results. Becoz in Join Admission Exercise, as long as PSLE Score is above the school cut off for that year, they will be offered a place in the school.

Also for gym, altho my girl is also doing gym, but I do not have intention for her to be very good in it because I am worry of injuries. So my intention is only for her to do it at a recreational level. What is your thought and experience on that.
