      300ml Milk

      100ml Fresh Cream
      40g Sugar

Ice (enough to line the inside of the large bowl)
      100g Salt

Place ice cubes evenly into a large bowl
Pour the salt evenly on the ice
Mix the milk, fresh cream and sugar into a smaller bowl and put the smaller bowl into the large bowl.
Whip the mixture using a whisk until slightly foamy
Stop whisking and rotate the smaller bowl fast
Repeat step 3 & 4 until the mixture solidify.

You can try adding different flavours to the ice cream. Or leave it as plain old milk ice-cream and add toppings.

        Kool Funz!

        :udawoman:

Want to try this with DS in the march hols, just for the fun of it. I remember he had this icecream making demo in the science centre on a field trip from his school. But I guess they had used liquid nitrogen.
BTW, how long does the whole process take?

Kids took about 30mins to make the ice-cream. From getting everything ready to measuring, plus a bit of squabbling, to the end product. And it took them less then 10 mins to finish all the ice-cream šŸ˜›

If you already have a Kitchen Aid for baking, you can always buy the ice-cream maker attachment so that you don't need to buy another appliance for making your own ice-cream.

Although making ice-cream would cost the same or more expensive than store-bought ones, you're assured of all the ingredients going into it - no extra preservatives or artificial flavourings that helps keep commerical ice-cream from spoiling. šŸ˜‰
