Hi cantbearit2,
My office is really pretty relax. I always joke wif my frenz that IM the most \"沑εΊζ―\" (good for nothing) graduate on the streets. Most of my frenz have v successful career but I have the most no. of babies. :lol: :lol: But I dun think IM less happy lor. As the yrs go by, I realise my priorities have changed a lot.
You are definitely not a \"沑εΊζ―\" graduate!!! Everyone has different priorities & goals and yours just happen to be different from your friends'. I totally agree with you that as we mature, our priorities change.
I think for most women, climbing the corporate ladder was part & parcel of work when we were younger but after the kids come along, our priorities tend to change and we tend to shift our focus onto the kids. Whatever your priorities, the main thing is you're happy. :celebrate: -

hi tinkerbelle,
her b'day will be on April 7, so i got to plan for it now. :love:
[quote=\"Tinkerbelle\"]Hi lvkt,
Sounds like a great idea.....ordering cup cakes. :drool:
When is your DD's birthday? -
jesyeo:
yeah..must be very difficult to handle 3 at the same time. 2 is already a headache for me. Everytime I guide DD1, DD2 will take books to me and ask me to read to her lah or teach her to write. Sometimes I will be lost dunno how to handle. haha.
:hi5: My sentiments exactly. :salute: parents with 3 or more kids. Like you, jesyeo, 2 kids are already a handful for me...hehe. I also find it a challenge to strike a balance between the kids. When I teach DD1, DD2 will also want me to do something with her. The recent CA1 was a real test of my juggling skills.

do they conduct workshops like these in MCS for lower primary?rainbowfairy:
does anybody know about Math and Science Symposium? does MMCS conduct such symposium? I heard a mum from Fairfield Methodist Primary about it.She told me that the symposium is for the parents to learn how to teach their child heuristic model. I hope did not missed it. she told me it was very useful as now she understand how to solve problem sums using heuristic model. as we are still new to this system my DD1 whos in P4 is struggling big time cause she missed the foundation of this model in P2.How about in MCS? have you guys heard about it?
Hi rainbowfairy & funkymonkey,
MCS does conduct maths workshops for parents of P1/P2, P3/P4 and P5/P6 during the year. I can't remember exactly when it's done but you definitely haven't missed it this year. The sch will send out newsletters once the workshops are confirmed. As for science workshop, it's usually conducted for upper pri sch kids.
rainbowfairy, in the meantime, if you're interested in learning about heuristics & models, maybe you can check out Fan-math i-Excel heuristic & model approach for P4 by Li Fanglan at Popular and see if that'll be useful to your DD1. -

Congrats to your DD for surviving CA1. Keke....good that your DD was not too stressed out about CA1 since she treated it as her usual assignments. Regardless of how she fares, I think she deserves a :hugs: for all her efforts. Good job!
