Anyway, finally the CA1 is over :celebrate: but me as a blur blur mummy still does not know the weightage of CA1 (10%? 15? or ???) Ask my DD1, she also say,\"I don't know leh!\" Guess we both is the most \"sotong parent-child\" in the class....

My DD did ok for her 3 subjects - scoring Band 1 for Science, Maths & CL. EL not returned yet...don't know why?? As told by her, the class done well - almost 96% scores Band 1 in the above 3 subjects :celebrate:

      :congrats: :congrats: :rahrah:

wow, that's great! now can go and enjoy the holidays thoroughly!!!! yay!

:thankyou: Haha..this is only CA1 - still has a long...long way to go

Btw, yesterday evening DD passed me a letter regarding PTM - it will be on 26 March 2011. Glad to know it is in March as I feel that if it is after SA1 in May then it will be a bit too late πŸ˜‰ . And also they mentioned there will be changes to time-table and teachers' allocation - hope for the best esp the \"situation\" in my DD's class 😒

Again, this time dear hubby said,\" Ok, this task belongs to mummy - she shall be my representative to see your teachers! How many you seeing this year?\" I looked at him and them walked away ....I dread the idea of waiting so maybe see which teacher has the \"shortest Queue\" and maybe take a number and wait 8).... Mine starts from 9am with Principal's opening address and 10-12.30 meeting teachers...

                  Hi All,

Just want to check whether did your kid being inform that there will be a change in their time-table or teachers? As stated in the last paragraph of the letter, it seems that there will be major re-shufffling of teachers  .

yup, it says the same in my letter... but it may not affect me. cos it says they want to make sure that one teacher will teach all the core subjects. since for my ds1 it is already the case, i doubt my son's timetable will change much.

also, for timetable changes, maybe it has to do with the supplementary classes. you know there is a big hooha in the papers/ forum pages regarding supplementary classes.

they used to be everyday i think, for the upper pri, but many parents are saying they have other classes/ tuition, so it becomes very tiring for the kids. hence, i think they might change it such that it is not daily?

Yesterday I sent my DS to school with lunch money. Apparently he spent it buying an ice cream for himself, an ice cream for his friend, and a cheap plastic slinky toy.

This is why I pack my son's lunch. And today that's what I did... but apparently he convinced some other kids to give him some of their lunch money so he could buy another $3 toy! :scratchhead:

I gave him a lecture that he shouldn't be asking kids for their lunch money as his friend's parents gave it to those kids so they can use it to eat, not use it to loan to him for toys. At the same time, I have to ask, why is the school allowing a vendor to sell these things in the cafeteria in the first place?? Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea?
