-
Hallo. I am new to this. first time on kiasuparents and still figuring out. i heard from a friend that lorna whiston preschool at east coast is having a promotion week. if you sign up before 15 march, got some promotion and freebies. my friend and i are going down to look around. i called up and asked about transport. the admin told me that now they dont have because too few kids. i heard alot about the school, curriculum and teachers. if i like the place, i think i’ll put my boy there. but i hope more children join so that i can have a bus driver. i also heard that fullday class is very small. i hope more people join then my son wont be alone. i hope to have good news after seeing the school.

school looks great! i love the boat theme they have. very friendly staff. even the cleaner and cook greeted us! going to work out my logistics with hubby then sign up.
i major problem i had was i thought they dont have phonics. but they do! they dont follow letterland or jolyl phonics tho. they use their own. but theyve been using in the study centres for 30 years so must be working! fingers crossed. neverm, my boy still young so ok. -
Hi Siobhan
Did u finally enrol your son? We recently moved to east coast n I hv enrolled my boy in the school. He’s in K1 and will be starting next week. The school environment and the teachers seem quite good. Only prob is the small no of students. I hope more children will enrol too so that the kids will hv more friends to interact with.
Hope to see u and your boy there someday. -
Hi,
I am considering to put my girl in either Lorna Whiston or Chiltern House Pre-School next year for Nursery 1. Since I am a SAHM, I thought I wouldnt need to send her for full-day. However, I am having 2 minds thinking if I am deprieving her from learning more things. Any parents have some experience to share? How different are the cirriculum at Lorna Whiston and Chiltern House? -
Hi,
Anyone has any comments on this school? My gal will be in N1 this year.
Any parents here whose kids are in N1 now?
Please share your tots about this school

Any N1 parents in Lorna here? Any feedbacks on the teachers or the school? Please share

Hi, I am also a SAHM with a daughter attending N1 next year. I am also having 2 minds whether to send my girl to Lorna Whiston or Chiltern House. I don’t really need the child care service and at the same time worry abt deprieving my girl frm learning more things. Would appreciate more advise on this. Thanks!

Hi, I visited Lorna Whiston East Coast during their open house and like the place. My girl had fun playing with the balls there too and didn’t want to go. Hubby felt that price is too high, which I think so too but I personally don’t mind paying a high fee for good education.
It seems from the reviews here that the curriculum and teachers are good. However, I read from another forum that because most of the kids there are rich kids, they tend to be arrogant and spoilt when they are in P1. I am not rich and will be sacrificing stuff to send my girl to school but do not want her to turn into a spoilt brat. Does anyone have any comments or have any real encounters with a Lorna Whiston child? I do hope that that forum is biased because I really really like the school. -

Thanks Onionchief, it is nice hearing about your and your kids’ experiences. I also like it that the cooking is done in-house. Another thing which my hubby doesn’t like is that it’s air-con, but I guess this doesn’t matter because they have a strict policy towards sick children and each classroom has it’s own aircon, except for a common aircon in the corridors and common areas.
