      yes 3VS !

the proposal to change to start all lessons proper, from 7.30 am to 8.30 am for SINGLE session from 2016 onwards … is GREAT! Since at this moment, the school has not yet finalised what time to start Single session school, from 2016.

with that one hour pushed back - our girls can sleep longer, no need to rush to school.

by 2016, all current P2 and P3 girls this year 2011 … would have moved on to Secondary schools. They would already have left rgps.

thus, may we appeal to all parents with existing, current P1 girls this year + ALL potential future parents who are admitting their daughters from next year 2012 onwards … to write to the school, to help to appeal for this time change ?

Strength lies in Unity ! The more parents appeal, then the school management will sit up, take notice, bother to entertain our request.

Thank you very much for kind, codial co-operation, from all P1 + future parents !

i was an ancient, old antique woman from rgps … 1970s.

in those olden days - rgps was housed impressively at Queen street, built in english colonial style, painted in white. The school building looked very grand, very impressive, with high, tall iron entrance gates beautifully carved !

back then, some of my classmates arrived in trishaw. The trishaw driver sent them right to the entrance of school gate … a scene that had disappeared for ages now… sunken into history, a scene you never witness now.

RGPS back then was many times larger than the current one built at Hillcrest road - with large sprawling, spacious compound to play. No traffic jam. Very peaceful.

That sounds so nostalgic. I can almost picture it. Do you have photos of the school from way back then?

Was Queen Street the first home of RGPS? Where else did it relocate to over the years? I believe the blocks in the current RGPS location are named after old school sites.
