I have very fond memories of Hua Hin too. We stayed at the Hyatt. Its well equipped and my kid enjoyed the stay too.

          Hi Isaivamum and tree nymph,

          Thanks for the reply.

Have been searching net for information on Hua Hin, totally clueless.

Can share which agent did you all booked.

If intend to stay at bangkok a few days, how to arrange my transport to Hua Hin.

If my children are 5 and 6 years old any interesting place for them to visit.

          Thanks

Yes always only drink the bottled water and as a tip ALWAYs check the seal on the cap on the bottle.

Another tip is avoid ice altogether

We stayed in a hotel called The Davis – Fantastic with a really good thai food reastaurant underneath

                  Hi,

Has anybody been to Phuket recently? Are there any interesting tours that we must join with a seven year old boy who loves the beach but have not learn how to swim? 😎

                    hi,

I stupidly booked a trip to Bangkok from Monday to Thursday when I wanted to visit Chatchuchak Market which I discovered just today that it only opens on weekends. 😒

I read that certain sections open on weekdays. Does anybody know what they are, besides the plants and gardening section? How about furniture, home decor and handicrafts sections? Are they open on weekdays?

Airport and hotels do not offer good exchange.

The malls have money changers and there are also those out in the street
ones as well, along the pavement kinds that can offer better rates.

                        Clothing. Shoes. Handicraft. Home furnishings/decor.

PS : The Thais are generally very slim hence the clothes on the racks are
kinda... disgustingly tiny in most places. Some places charge extra $
for bigger sizes of the exact same style. πŸ˜› If you like imitation branded
stuff... down there got a lot!

Pure honey factory. Jewellery/gem stones factory. Cashewnut factory.

We didn't get to go to the Floating Market. Saw that it was quite an
experience but didn't feel it a miss cos our kiddies were small and
at that time our elder daughter was down with stomach flu.

We drove up to Pattaya and went to Coral Island. Very clean beach!
Can see your feet in the waters, take picture with fishes in the water
and go para-sailing! For girls, can have braids done at the beach too!
