Hi all,

I chance upon this forum and I’m glad there’s a support group for QTPS. My son is in P5 now. I must say that he had good 4 years with great teachers. Not sure about his form teacher this year, but she’s strict and I like that too. Hope to see more inputs from you all.

Hi seansean1, welcome to this forum. My son is also in P5 now. My son's form teacher is also very strict and at the start of the year, already has a lot of homework. Hope to see you more often here!

Did any parents attend the briefing last Sat?

My husband attended the P5/P6 session. As we have attended the P3/P4 last yr, this yr, we didn't attend the session for my girl.


Heard from my husband that this year, there is an outside speaker who did a talk and the talk is good. Now I understand the difference between 'speak' & 'talk' and 'listen' & 'hear'.

My boy also in P5 this year. How do you find the CA paper? I find the Eng paper 2, compre OE part kinda difficult. He did badly for that part.

Hi care07, my son is always weak in compre OE. He didn’t do very well in his English paper too. But this round, he still manage to get 8 out of 10 from the compre OE.

I think his Chinese paper is also quite tough. He did quite badly too.

My DD only get 2.5 out of 10 for Eng compre OE, but suprisingly, he did very well on his MT compre OE, but sadly that his overall marks for MT was been pulled down by his compo as he was failed by 2 mark.

Yaye ! Finally registered my child for QPS to start P1 next year 2012. Am terribly excited yet anxious about this new phase of journey for him and for myself. I've had really good vibes abt this school so far and we'll start it on a positive note

Hi I am new to this forum. I want to know more about QPS and when is the open house for 2012 enrollment? Plan to let my son go to primary 1 in 2013.

Hi everyone, we’ve just registered at QtPS! Was really looking forward to our DS starting next year, until one of my friends said "Queenstown has a g**g issue" and to try to get into any other school at all costs. Sounds very extreme and I think she was referring more to last year’s widely reported incidents and where the perpetrators were supposed to have come from rather than anything about the school itself. From what I’ve read from this forum, I think the school is definitely one moving in the right direction, but wondered whether anyone has any views or experiences of this.
