[Bukit Merah] Primary Schools
-
Hi qms
Iām within 2 on most of the schools in Bukit Merah area with the exception of GESPS. -
Anyone know in Phase 2A(2) is is just produce PSLE Cert or the Report Book?
-
Yah same for my case where I can qualify Phase 2A(2) for Nan Chiau Primary but those is going to be very far like Bt Merah to Sengkang.
Sometime it is really no choice not to take up Phase 2A(2) as really depends on where you stay.
Even if you do take it up, it will be a big problem managing the travelling time to and fro. The schools hours (afternoon session) against the parents working hours?? Its like crazy. Even if the option of moving house nearer to the school eventually, this will be another issue to be addressed -

Not too sure but read somewhere here that either will do. Others even mentioned that the school may have your old records. -
Hi raynreg,
I'm assuming you are 1-2Km away from most schools in the Bukit Merah region?Guess ZDPS, RMPS accoding to last year requires balloting.
Wish you good luck. -

Titank, RV told me that I just have to produce my report book in phase 2A2. Actually any document that shows proof that u'd studied in that school can be used.
qms, I'm still debating between RM & RV. Accessibility is one of my criteria also. I'm tending towards RM now though the no. of places left not a good figure....
raynreg, which phase u'll be in for RV ?
Like titank, if there're 50 - 60 places left for Phase 2C for RM after phase 2A1, I'll still harbour hope since I'm within 1 km from RM. Maybe, just maybe, the children staying nearby and registering for RM this year could be part of the count for other earlier phases, so when it comes to phase 2C, the actual no. of children staying within 1km is not that many...

Hi Chipmunk,
I'm also same like you debating RMPS & RVPS. Agree that RVPS indeed quite inconvenience due to the location. RMPS I can still depend on a SBS bus & if my child can be independent next time P3 go by himself.
Suggest maybe you go for RVPS in Phase 2A(2) then monitor in Phase 2C of RMPS. Once have chance go in RMPS then withdraw from RVPS.
For me is just Phase 2B select one fo them. -

Let's do an analysis here, based on last year's statistics. Last year, about 20 and 40 applied in Phases 2A and 2B respectively. So, if you were to use last year's numbers, yes, at the end of Phase 2B, there will be about 50-60 places left for Phase 2C.
Now, the crucial point is how many will register at Phase 2A. :? -
Seem like not much action of registration in Phase 2A(1) at RVPS & RMPS.
Now just have to wait Phase 2A(2) how many would register. -

When you called up RMPS, they told you \"not much action in Phase 2A\". Were they referring to just Phase 2A1? Did you try to find out from RVPS, too?
