Just Education - Discussion

hi 24-hr mum!
Just Education at bishan is a pretty new outlet whereas the hougang branch is there for a number of years. i would suggest you try out the new centre cos the class size should be smaller for new centres since they have just started.
my child is studying at just education located at jurong east and i would say the worksheets are good. quite systematic with all the filings and markings. but i would suggest that you would bring your child to go down to have a look at the centre. i did that to mine and he made his own decision whether to enrol a not. most impt is that the kids are comfortable24hr-mum:
any feedback on Just Education at bishan or hougang branch?

My dd used to be with Just Education. Their worksheets are good, and they claim their teachers are/were school teachers. But my experience with them is that the teachers are not at all committed, got bochap attitude. If you just need their worksheets and coach your child yourself, then I’d say they are ok. That’s what I did with my dd. But for those who rely on the tuition centre to teach your child, then I will not recommend this tuition centre. The teachers will just let the students do the worksheets during their time there.

Is the tuition fees cheap? I mean is it worth paying a tuition fees just for the worksheet? Beside its not easy to teach upper primary math even if the questions are good. I personally find it very hard to sometimes even comprehend what the question is asking.

I agreed with you :celebrate: -
I don't agree or disagree with the comments posted. Here's my 2 cents worth.
This is the 3rd year dd has been with Just Education (dd in Maths advance class) n our experience has been quite good. Personally, I believe whichever tuition centre u go to, there will be teachers who r good, n also the not-so-good ones. I find dd's teacher (currently a teacher in school) to be a very dedicated and responsible lady.
I find their worksheets pretty good and dd is well prepared for her various tests/exams (maybe not the top school standard, but good enough ) my main intention of sending dd to Maths tuition is just to give her extra opportunity to practice, n hopefully learning \"little trick\" to solve Maths problems which the school teachers may not adopt.
I think parents need to be involved even when we send our kids to tuition centers. I checked on dd's work occasionally, n hv informal chats with her tuition centre teacher to track her progress. If the teacher appears not to know your child's weak area, u know how much one-on-one coaching takes place in class liao Once a while, i ask dd to re-do the questions that she got wrong, to see if she really understand the steps on how to solve the question.
The worst thing that can happen is when the kid's correction is still wrong, but the teacher blindly marks in correct - that's what happen to my friend's kid who used to attend one of those \"branded\" enrichment centre. -

I just had lunch with a friend and she also recommends me to send my DD1 to Just Education :D. Do you mind share a little bit more - Which centre is your child in? Which level? How big is the class size?
Sorry if I have asked too many questions but like to hear feedbacks from more parents.
:thankyou: -
