hi, i have not been to the school myself, my friend’s twin sons are attending their n1 since beginning of this year, they will stay back for enrichment class daily. barely 6 months both boys are able to write all the alphabets (in small and cap), read simple short story (they are able to recognise the words), do simple maths addition, can read and write 100 words, recite the 3 little pigs story. both boys also attend weekly right brain training class. according to her, right brain training class helps with the memoray, they can focus and absorb faster. however, the fees are not cheap, she paid about $1,400 for each boy, this is excluding the school bus fees.

it's at igenius. yup, i also find it impressive, her money is well spent :D. she stresses that strong/good early foundation is important for the kids, else will have to spend even more money and time for extra tuition when they enter P1. the class size is also small at about 8 kids in a class, she told me the teachers there are very dedicated and loving.

hi class size of 8 is quite big compared to shichida and the other competitors right? anyway, i think the right brain classes may be the crucial factor. i find such classes help the young child to have good fine motor skills earlier than other kids. thats y they can learn to write so quickly.

              Hi

Any toddlers here attending lessons at the above? In particular the nursery class. Could you share your views and experience? Would you recommend this school? Thanks thanks..
My friend's boy used to attend daily nursery class at another MRC center. I think she wasn't too impressed because she withdrew him after a few months leh

anyway, if MRC is teaching addition at n1 level and they can do it successfully, i’m very impressed becos most schools are stil playing games and teaching quantity concepts at this age as most kids r unlikely able to handle addition. i wonder how they do it???

hi sleepy, its like a franchise and not controlled by single mgt. so cannot judge based on another branch’s experience. so far, it seems parents who send their kids to MRC katong are happy with their childrens’ superb progress.

Hi, at the recommendation of friend, we enrolled our elder son in MRC. He started off in Pasir Ris cos it is near to our place and after class in the morning he can go back to my mum's nearby. But after 1 term, we decided to switch him to Katong. More troublesome due to the distance but it is worthwhile. Not only the quality of staff, but the commitment of the boss there impressed us very much. My son is attending normal lessons in the morning, and in order to optimise his learning time, we enrolled him in extra lessons (enrichment) in the afternoon. In between, the teachers buy lunch for him, eat, rest and start afternoon classes. We feel very at ease putting him there.

wow seems the katong branch is really quite good in terms of teacher quality, attention and care for the students. i just saw a mum with a toddler in a sling together with an older girl wearing 3Q uniform taking the train this morning. i wonder if that's my fren's fren who lugs her younger son along with the long journey to katong everyday! :!: but i guess all parents are the same - we all want the best for our children and some of us are more willing to go the extra mile no matter how difficult, challenging or inconvenient

That's why despite the fact that there is a childcare centre at my wife's workplace, and the cost is only a fraction (plus, it is full day care), we decided to switch him from the childcare centre to MRC. He has been with the childcare since N2, and he is now in K2.
