:welcome:
yah normally 1st kids, a bit \"ganjiong\", can understand.
hehe, enjoy spending time here. -
Yes, Wee Care was interesting!
It was a one time thing for me
though cos i attended the trial.
The place was too far in town,
not very convenient for me to
travel up and down in public
transport with my girl, for only
a short duration session.
And it doesn't come cheap.
Woit! No worries ah.. I support
you. It's not kan-cheong... it's
excited. Excited for bb! Hee!
I practically tried whatever trials
there were available then... and I
started with all the free trials 1st!
So i live up to the kiasu-ism spirit
right? -
Hi Buds,
I think not only baby excited, parents also excited rxploring all the different classes and see how your baby learn and be happy.

Hello…just to share my 2 cents worth…
have you started reading to your baby? if not, start SOON! i started reading to my son since birth and now he can turn pages by himself, and read some simple words at 20 months. important thing is set a routine. i am a working mom so i usually set reading time at 830pm…it really works WONDER! everynight, my son will take some books and ask to be read. so start now!! -
Hi Shiningstar,
Thanks for your advice. Yes, I truly believe in reading to our baby to cultivate their love for reading. Through reading, our kid can learn how to differentiate right from wrong.
I tried to read some nursery rhymes to my baby, but when she is awake is normally b’cos she is hungry. So, I only managed to read the most one nursery rhyme to her before she start crying out loud. Perhaps I should try it when she is more alert at night.

Hi Buds,
Can share which are the trial classes that you have tried so far and how do you find them??
Thanks.

yep, reading when she is alert is a good idea...and one more thing, dun give up when you see her showing no signs of interest (that's what happen to some of my friends as they feel like they are reading to themselves). at this stage, even though they do not maintain eye contact with us at all times, its still good to give them input and keep up the routine. Your efforts will be pay off eventually when you see your girl taking an interest in flipping the books and asking you to read to her
oh yes, one more thing you can do is to introduce some nursery rhymes in the form of songs (I played CDs to my son on a daily basis since birth and now he can remember quite a dozen of them). i guess that helps them in building their language ability too.
Keep working and enjoy this nurturing process of our children :celebrate:
