pinky, GPA in DHS is computed as follows :
A+ = GPA 4.0 for 80 and above (not 75)
A = GPA 3.6 for 70 - 79
B = GPA 2.8 for 60 – 69
C = GPA 2.0 for 50 – 59
Promotion criteria for YR 1 GPA > or = 2.0
Promotion criteria for YR 2 GPA > or = 2.4 (may revise upwards to 2.8, but currently still stick to 2.4).
can share how is GPA (or equivalent) computed in HCI ?? -
Augmum:
Tks Augmum...HCI is using e mean subject grade (MSG) computation. A1=1, A2=2, B3=3, B4=4, C5=5, C6=6...take e total pts divided by e total no. of subjects....so e lower e MSG e better....opp of GPA....promo criteria MSG<=4.pinky88:

oh...so HCI is using the mean subject grade, same as NYGH.
thanks for the info.

Augmum:
Besides HCI and NYGH, do any other schools use MSG?

Augmum:
I would say it is only logical that HCI and NYGH use the same grading, after all, all the girls from NYGH would eventually go on to HCI to continue their Year 5 and 6, right?u're welcome.

That's what I'm thinking too. I guess eventually Cat High, St Nicks and SCGS will have to dovetail their grading system too. -

Same goes with VS and Cedar, otherwise VJC is going to have a big headache when the boys/girls merge into VJC at Year 5 and 6.
