      Janet, thanks.

How to review with the children on synthesis? Is there any english assessment books purely on synthesis?

I have already over bought a lot of english assesment books for my girl already.
Yes, there is an assessment book just purely on Synthesis.
Just bought this title 'Conquer Synthesis' for P1...simple exercises. I find it better than Longman Synthesis.

Because I just bought the book 2 or 3 days ago...was holding the book and thinking whether to get or not to. Think the security cameras inside Popular must have been watching this crazy woman putting it down and picking it again. :stupid:
Don't have 30 books for daughter, but easily more than 30 for my son going to P6 next year...esp Chinese compo and Maths.

              Hi mummies

Do you have any recommendation for english dictionary suitable for P1 kids? Thanks..

              http://postimage.org/image/1x15rwgp0/

Hi, My DD1 is currently using this dictionary and she also has the other one by Oxford. I find this Longman dictionary - the explanation is more detailed and words are easier for student to understand.

Above just my own opinion - to share with you all 😄

Hubby bought whole set of Li fanglan maths for P1 bcos of 25% discount last year. Honestly, i bought too many for P1. Now really have to control. This year end, will get Chinese assessment books and 1 grammar and 1 vocab...should be enough for P2 (next year).
Other half complained of my credit card purchases in popular.

Hi, need advice. Pls help. TIA.

DD’s English was not bad during P1, which is likely due to some foundation in K2. This yr for her P2, observed that she has some difficulties in grammer, vocab & open-ended comprehension while doing the 4-in-1 assessment bk I bought. Is that sufficient for her? Or shd I buy separately?

                      Thks.

In my opinion, I would get separate assessment book for grammar, vocab, comprehension to reinforce...all in 1 doesn't focus on areas which your daughter is weak in, for eg subject-verb or maybe comparison of adjectives. As for vocab, there are diff themes like fantasy, animals, collective nouns.

Without Eng textbook, it's hard to find a starting point. Grammar is grammar. There are rules to follow but it's so wide. Fortunately I kept up son's old textbooks from P1...got My Pals Are Here English Homework Book to teach my daughter.
