Hsuanmommy:
This is taken from MOE's website for last year's registration:
I don't know which school to choose from as my HDB at Dawson road will only be done in 2016. Not sure whether they allow me to register my girl in the schools above. Can anyone advise me?
Thank you very much!
J: For Registration using address of yet-to-be completed property
An original Sales and Purchase document is required if the address of a yet-to-be completed property is used for registration. A copy of this document is to be retained by the school. Parents using the yet-to-be completed property address for registering their child in a school of choice must move into the new property within two years of the child’s entry into Primary One. For this purpose, the date of commitment by the developer in T.O.P (Temporary Occupation Permit) must not be later than 31 Dec 2012.
So the rule of thumb is that your new home must TOP by the end of P2.
Since yours is a 2007 child, he will be in P1 in 2014. So the TOP must be Dec 2015. -
any PVs for Chongfu Primary here?

I just send my PV registration form to RGPS, and received an email, stating they will contact me for interview in April. Will it be possible to share with me what and how the interview session going to be like, and is there anything that i should be aware or prepare myself before the interview. Thank you

I think I read some where here but cant find the thread. :?
May I know for the PV, if the number of applications is more than the vacancy, are the slots given to the applications which are within 2km and the rest for balloting?
Or all the applications go under balloting without considering the distance? -
If 1km applicants more than vacancy, then 1km applicants will ballot. Other will not be considered at all.

For all phases that involve balloting. First they consider those within 1km - these will either all get in; or if there is balloting within 1km, those more than 1km will not even get a chance to ballot.

After the 1km demand is satisifed in FULL, then it's 1-2km. So if there were 15 vacancies and 10 were from within 1km, there will only be 5 places left for those 1-2km. If there are more than 5 persons vying, then there will be balloting for those 1-2km (those within 1km are safe, those outside of 2km are omitted).
Parents who are staying more than 2km away (in fact, I think 1-2 km also quite dangerous) should consider carefully based on past stats if they even have a chance at the ballot box before they commit all that time and energy. -

I know this works for Phase 2C. But does this applies to 2B (PV) too?

applies to entire 2B....and if one day 2A1 or 2A2 happens as well, same rules apply.... -
I have no idea, think different school will act differently. may need to check with the school on how the balloting going to be conduct.
BTW are you intending to go for PV at RGPS? -

The above-mentioned rules apply to all phases from Phase 2A onwards...although there has been no balloting required for Phase 2A1/2 so far.
