Just realised that the school has been very active in organising Workshops for Parents for almost all levels. Initially, I thought it is only for P5 (in preparation for P6) as weโ€™ve attended the Science Workshop & this Fri Math Workshop. But when I went to the web to check, I found that there are Math Workshops coming up for the other levels as well. I am impressed that the school takes the trouble to reach out to the parents so that we can better understand what is expected of our kids & how to better support them/work along with them.

            Hi Honey,
I realized the school has been very nice to conduct workshops for parents. In fact, I've emailed the HOD Maths to ask for permission to attend the P5 Maths workshop as son's school doesn't have any workshop/briefing for Maths. Really very impressed and glad the school is doing all this to help parents understand subjects and also how to teach the kids.
Hubby will be attending this Friday's P5 Maths workshop to teach son...and P1 in April for daughter.

Are there any study rooms for the gals to do their homeworks while waiting for their supplementary/CCA/enrichment/remedial lessons?

dd1 and dd2 have to stay back in sch on different days and so sometimes I hv to pick them up at different timing. Was thinking in order to minimise travelling time, they shd stay back together so that I can pick them both together at the end of the day. My concern is whether they have conducive place to study while waiting for the other. Canteen can be quite noisy and likely to hv distraction. I told them to use the library and they said library sometimes closed.

Why would the library be closed ? That's the most conducive place to get work done. The canteen is rather stuffy and noisy.

bebe, I asked my P5 dd & she said that there are no study rooms. The library can sometimes be full. Perhaps you can write to Mrs Tan about this. She is very open to ideas & your wish may just come true ๐Ÿ˜„ .

Janet, i had to be home with the kids. Hubby went. He said it gave him better insights into ddโ€™s work. He found it beneficial.
