After being pressed by lots of ppl in the morning, I guess. Plan to go to Giant to try my luck this evening (now still raining) hope the mangoes still available n in good condition. Thanks for sharing the lobang 🙂

You are most welcome, glad to share since I myself am a self-proclaimed mango addict! Hope you are able to get the mangoes at Giant.

Haha, overdose due to addiction, that's why now suffering from withdrawal symptoms now that the mangoes are gone!

I am referring to those not so ripes ones too, not those that are totally green. From experience, even though they so-call ripen after a while, they are still a bit too sour for my liking.
Hmm, I learn something new today. Seems like I am learning new things every other day here in KSP.

I kept the sourish tasting mangoes in the fridge until there was a certain quantity to make mango mousse. The whipped cream and sugar helped with the sourness, and the addition of some sweet mangoes goes a long way to level out the taste:

                        Sure!

                        Ingredients:
300g mango puree (I used a mix of sour and sweet mango, puréed in a food processor)
                        13g gelatine powder
                        1/2 tsp mango essence
a few drops of yellow colouring
                        300g dairy whipping cream

                        Method:
                        1. While processing the mango, add in the gelatine powder. (I added some sugar to the mangos because of the amount of sour mangos. Add sugar to taste.) Microwave or boil the mango mix until the gelatine is dissoved. Leave it to cool down.
                        2. Whip up the whipping cream with the essence and colouring. Fold in the cooled mango mix. It's important for the mango mix to cool, otherwise the heat from the mix will melt the whipped cream.
                        3. After folding in the mix, transfer the mango mousse into smaller individual servings or into a large bowl. Decorate with whipped cream (just whip about 150 to 200g of whipping cream with a tablespoon of icing sugar) and cut sweet mangos or berries before refrigeration.
