Lovely, maid! What recipe do you use? A few years ago I was tempted to get a waffle maker (because I love waffles) but a friend of mine said it was difficult to come up with a good recipe so might as well just order from the cafes.
:thankyou: jtoh. Actually waffles are very easy. For me, I bought the waffle maker first before looking around for a good recipe. Get the machine first, and recipes are easily available from the Internet. :celebrate:

Saw beautiful pictures of this cake some time back, starting with HHB's blog and thought I will give it a try. Seems easy enough.

Baked 2 trays. The fruits on the 1st tray were a bit burnt as I did not cover it soon enough. Think if I were to make this cake again, I'll cut the fruits into bigger chunks so they don't dehydrate and burn that easily. And with my oven, I will have to lower the temp. And next time will try to decorate it better. The cake look kinda like a pizza in these pics. šŸ˜‰

Wow! The cake looks delicious!!! Is it a cheese cake or a sponge cake. And yes, I thought it was a fruit pizza in the top photo. šŸ™‚

                  Funz,

yr fruit cake looks very delicious and the cake (i presume is a sponge cake) looks very soft.

how long have u beat for the mixture??
or what are the crucial steps in order to get a soft spongy cake ??
do u add cream of the tartar ??

Aiyo, it does not take up much space. The waffle maker is so 'flat'.
