To be fair, balloting process for all schools are the same, all follow moe standard guidelines. So far, balloting starts from 2B if required.I have no idea, think different school will act differently. may need to check with the school on how the balloting going to be conduct.
BTW are you intending to go for PV at RGPS? -
Hi
Understand that being a PV and clocking in min 40 hours does not guarantee a place for my child in the school, I need to clarify:
1. will there be balloting if the no. of registration exceed no. of vacancies in phases 2B2 ?
2. I was told that clock in more than 40 hours stand more chances, is this so?
Thanks! -

Yup...there is NO guarantee that child is guaranteed a place even though parent completes 40 hours of PV. Parents are told and reminded regarding this.Hi

1) Balloting takes place once applicants exceed number of places.
2) Different schools diff PV hours...if XX school for eg sets 40 hours, PVs just have to do 40 hours. Exceeding number of hours does not mean more chances. -

So under phases 2B2, during balloting, all have equal chances, right? It doesn't mean that you clock in more PV hours, you stand a better chance (if the school's PV requirement is 40 hrs)?
When I start to clock in my PV hours, is there anything in particular that I should take note of ?
Thanks! -

For Phase 2B/C, all singaporeans have 2 balloting chances. If school only requires PVs to clock in 40 or 60 hours, then PVs just clock in what is required...but if school continues to require your help for extra few hours, then you may want to consider putting in those hours out of goodwill.

As a PV, try to be flexible and clock in hours as much (and fast) as possible. Do ask the person in charge how you can clock in hours - thru email or phone call. -

I have a BIG headache on the PV now. :stupid:
I am FTWM and the PV needs to indicate when is the best time for me to do the PV to sch. Mon - Fri, Timing, Frequency, One time proj etc..
On one hand I also dont have alot of leaves to spare as sometimes when the Childcare closes, I need to take leave to look after the kids. When they sick, me also need to look after them.
How???

Can your DH share the load? Best to be honest with the school and maybe opt for one-time projects. Whole-Saturday events can involve 6-8 hours, meaning you'd only need to do a few.I have a BIG headache on the PV now. :stupid:

Or perhaps do the early-morning ones, and then negotiate with your boss to come in a little late those days, and compensate by knocking off later?
Good luck, and hope it works out for you! -

Thanks. DH is working shift job. So, its quite hard for him to help. I also think One time proj would be easier. I can do 5 projects just to clock 40hrs provided is 8hrs per day. 5 working leaves.
