I am confused whether to register my daughter to CHIJ (OLPS) or to Cedar Girls. If its CHIJ (OLPS) seat is confirmed under phase 2 A. However for Cedar Primary have to wait till 2C and unsure if she will get it. The school updated that there has been no balloting in the last few years and she will get the seat in 2C.
What do you’ll suggest…which would be a better option…CHIJ (OLPS) or Cedar Primary.
Actually me like CHIJ-TP & Rosyth but live near Serangoon and hence she may not qualify for CHIJ TP under 2A. For Rosyth under 2C it is sure balloting and hence not taking the risk. Any suggestions? -
Thanks for all the great work done by Big Devil, blmg, tankee, and of course our Class Monitor luanee. In light of my blurness (yes, getting old oredi), I will have to defer to you guys for keeping track of the fluid situation

We have just updated the Ballot History Tables with charts that show the rate of growth of TUR across the Phases, averaged over the years. You can really see the difference between the really hot schools and the normal ones. A key characteristic is that popular schools with a longer history usually have a convex line (with lots of places filled up by Phase 2A), or a very sharp concave line with huge demand coming in Phase 2C. Normal schools tend to have a concave line that do not extend to 100% by Phase 2C.
To use the chart for this exercise, compare the current Phase's TUR with the Average TUR in the chart. If it is below, you can relax a bit, but remember that the current exercise's eventual statistics will not differ far from the historical data - ie. it will follow the same shape as the historical chart. -

Thanks \"RRMummy\" You are so well informed! Do you think I should just forget abt Princess E ( 1-2km ) then? I am looking at CHIJ Bkt Timah as well but I am outside 2km? Any advise?Little_Princesses_LnK:
Hi, can anyone help? I hear that there are gd chances of getting into RGPS even if one is outside 2km ( balloting ) I have to register this year and I am so stressed...
Hi Little_Princess, based on last 2 years data, it is correct that say that you will stand a chance to ballot for RGPS.
But as for the chance being high well... not quite that high.. Y2008 the APP was 186% while Y2007 was 192%... -

But RRMummy is rite, the chances are not high at all, but better than no chance for some schools if u stay out of 2km.RRMummy:

Sorry i got a question to ask, coz im very blur abt this
for Phase 1
For a child who has a sibling studying in a school of choice
for Phase 2A2
For a child whose parent or sibling has studied in the school of choice
If the child has a sibling studying in the school of choice, why shld the child go into Phase 2A2? the sibling in Phase 2A2 is refering to the parents' sibling or the child's sibling? Very confused wor... :?
