Hi mng_kl,
I, thank you, for the compliment.
Again, we are all here to learn and share each other experiences. So probably for the MF thread, most parents may be very new.
Oh..talking about ECA, one of my girl ex-kiddy friend chosed TV because of Gymnastic but finally when we met and i asked the mother about it. she said her girl didn't join the ECA due to some reason. If i remembered correctly, the ECA was not open to P1 students...so again, ask the respective schools to what ECAs are open for P1 children.
Hope this helps.
Bingo! I am thinking to register DD in TV partially also because of Gymnastic
think I got influenced by inlaw that TG some how not a v good schl... have little students and limited class opening...but recently I do hear good feedbacks abt the schl
haha...seem like most mommies like their DD in gymnastics.
Yes, every school will have its positive/negative reviews. It's good to hear and compare notes. Good Luck!
Thanks Astee

Haha. I never thought if ECA while enrolling my DS to TG. Competing to some schools, TG does have less ECA. But it is not something my hubby and I pay lots of attention on. Actually the school will allocate some time in term 3 and 4 for the students to have a try on many of the ECA. I think that is very good. Also I found that not many schools offer swimsaver program which I find it very good. So like one of the parents said, each school has its strength and weakness. What works for a family may not work for others. So go visit the school an talk to the staff. By the time registration comes, you will know which school to go to.

Hi Rejoice,
Thanks for your advise.
It is our (my) 'preliminary' choices still; of couse, ECA not really our main thing to look at. We will look out for the sch open house nearer to the dates and bring our DD to visit the sch(s) as well. -
Hi mng_kl
You are welcome. Come visit th forum often. We will post the open house date once we heard from the school. Hope u lik what u will see.
Hi Ivy and Astee
Finally it is a sunny Tuesday. It rained the past two Tuesday that the swimsaver program was canceled twice. Glad that today DS can go dip in the pool and continue his lesson.
Speaking if ECA, any of you let your DS join ECA at P1? -

My son missed his swim lesson because he just recovered from flu, so i told him no swimming.
My DS expressed his interest to join CCA but problem is there is no intake for P1 to his preferred CCAl. So i told him to hold on the plan till next year. I preferred him to start CCA in P2 as P1 is the 1st year of official studies for him and he need time to get used to the routine of school homework/nap/tuition classes.

My son missed his swimming lesson too. He knocked his head the previous night and used that as 'excuse' for not going swimming. I was disappointed and think he still bit scared of water :-(. Hope he overcome his fear eventually.rejoice137:

May be next year we will put him in swimming CCA for him to pick up swimming. Wonder if they take in people who does not know how to swim :-p.
Wow tuition class for P1? What kind of tuition class is your DS in? -

It's the normal tuition classes of Eng/Math. These lessons help to reinforced what the teacher had taught them.

Astee, my boy told me that the MT teacher won't let them drink water in class. Have you heard your boy saying that? Wonder if my DS misunderstood the teacher or it is really like what he said. -

Interestingly, i just asked my DS - he said cannot drink water and go WC during MT lessonss
