I will send all kids to the same school because of convenience.

Yes, because of the convenience and to have my \"DD1 oversees DD2\" - I will send DD2 to CPS. I really dread the idea of sitting in WGPS school hall's to go through the balloting \"horror\" again! (I had one in Y2008 for DD1) πŸ˜› Many friends even neighbors are \"coaxing\" me to give a chance to DD2 to try WGPS which all said to be \"better school in JW\" after Rulang.....

Aiyoh - good or no good - ultimately they still learn the same syllabus - go thru exams and eventually ends up in the national standard of PSLE! I am not εƒδΈεˆ°θ‘‘θ„θ―΄θ‘‘θ„ι…Έ, just feel convenience and happiness most important to my 2 DDs. I still have a baby boy, but still long way to go lah - he only coming 2 years old in Sept this year so he will be another phase that I will be looking at

yes, it will be nice to have the older one look after the younger one! it will be cute to take pics on the 1st day of school too, both in the same uniform. πŸ˜„

for the new schools, i think registration won't be tough. def no balloting. i also don't like to have that kind of balloting stress.

CPS is good for my ds1, and he's so happy there. I will not be taking him out. But I am curious about the new sch and will def be checking it out if it is ready in time. Will share more if I do find out more. But I think you and LKVM are not in the same area as me, so you may not find that so convenient?

For location wise, the new school coming up in betwen St. 71 & 73 nearer to me...

But for CPS, I always find the location is \" a bit out of the way\" 😒

          - I am only one bus-stop away from the school and I can't drive; don't own a car....so every time if I need to go to the school (say PTM or workshop), I will walk to the school. It takes me about 15 mins to stroll there πŸ˜‰...

If there are demands, I will talk to the new Principal to setup an after-school care in CPS. [/quote]

I guess should be ok to say his name since it is no secret that he does his rounds on Sun at our estate. Mr Cedric Foo.

Told him the schools in Jurong West are so full, and parents find it hard to get into the schools nearest to them. When I returned to Sg, I found no vacancy in the schools around me. Thankfully ds1 is happy in CPS so I have no complaints.

But I thought it was a good chance to talk about improving the area, so I already had a few issues in mind. But only had time to talk about this.

He mentioned the new schools coming up so I asked for more info, but he said MOE will release it soon.

(However, as I am saying this, do you know I just received the Phase 1 application form TODAY??!?! How to decide so soon?? )

However, he was very nice to my kids, talked to my sons, played with dd...

Steve Chia and party came to our block last Sun, a week before Mr Foo's team. I missed that cos I was out but they left a note at my doorstep and a fridge magnet.

First time I get to vote. So excited.

Ok, getting :offtopic: , end now... πŸ™‚
