I guess should be ok to say his name since it is no secret that he does his rounds on Sun at our estate. Mr Cedric Foo.

Told him the schools in Jurong West are so full, and parents find it hard to get into the schools nearest to them. When I returned to Sg, I found no vacancy in the schools around me. Thankfully ds1 is happy in CPS so I have no complaints.

But I thought it was a good chance to talk about improving the area, so I already had a few issues in mind. But only had time to talk about this.

He mentioned the new schools coming up so I asked for more info, but he said MOE will release it soon.

(However, as I am saying this, do you know I just received the Phase 1 application form TODAY??!?! How to decide so soon?? )

However, he was very nice to my kids, talked to my sons, played with dd...

Steve Chia and party came to our block last Sun, a week before Mr Foo's team. I missed that cos I was out but they left a note at my doorstep and a fridge magnet.

You got the Phase 1 application already? From your P2 DS's class? My DD said she did not get any form or letter yesterday :?. Anyway, mine already decided so set liao

Now am more worried about the coming SA1; me having sleepless nites lioa :nailbite:....I am not a super Kiasu parent that must insist my DD's to do very well but I just hope to prepare her so that she learns to be extremely careful and attentive while doing the exams . Subject teachers and her tutor already feedback many times that she is careless and always lost marks easily

yes, i received it yesterday. but the deadline for handing in is 15 April, so I think we have some time.

I most probably will reg ds2 for CPS too, cos there is no info on the new sch.

yes, to echo what you said, i feel that CPS is a great school too. the teachers are wonderful there, and the new P seems really good, though I haven't met her, just from what you and LKVM and Expatmom says. Expatmom told me she met the P to have a talk and was very impressed with her. She'll probably share more herself.

but, just like what you said, the location is \"neither here nor there\". It is definitely nearer than the schools Dh and I went to before, so our alma maters are out of consideration. But then if CPS were within walking distance or easily reached by a single bus, then it'd be more convenient for us.

i think that is why it's not popular, cos most parents need the convenience, when you compare all the neighborhood schools.

though i don't need the After-school service, I hope they will have it, so working parents can have the convenience.

The form only had limited options, and I had to tick the one where \"I don't need to put my kids in the service\". I wish they had \"I don't need to put my kids in the service but I strongly support the set up of said service\".

Hope they pick a good service provider too.

I have received the letter from my DD1 yesterday. I will enrol my DD2 in CPS for Primary 1 next year. For the after-school care, I have indicated \"I need\". You just reminded all of us - maybe we should all show our support for the \"after-school services\" :celebrate:. Haha...perhaps, one day I might need the service too when my 2 DDs are in mid to upper primary and I don't have a live-in domestic helper :idea:
