Not to mention that there is one more day for Phase 2A2 tomorrow. Hopefully only a handful has not registered.
Yeap... Assuming the handful application tomorrow is only 7, leaving 50 places for 2B and 2C >> Each phase will be allotted 25 places each :!: Sure to be very stiff competition for the remaining places IMO :oops:ZacK:
like that i wouldn't even want to try for Cath high.left only 57 seats for 2b and 2c.
It's top on the list... May be good to evaluate your alternatives if you are going in at Phase 2C :xedfingers: -

Update of the 30 schools by number of vacancies left after 2A2 as of 14 Jul 09. The number of vacancies allocated for 2B and 2C will be the remaining vacancies divided by 2.
All the best to the parents applying under 2B and 2C :celebrate:

Twins:
Hi Twins,
Hi CocoNutCocoNut:
Hi all!
I am new here.
I have twins. If balloting is require in the school. How many names (1 of my twins or both) can I put in the balloting 'Box'?
Many Thanks
CocoNut
I've twins too and was initially misled and hence confused. The fact is with twins, you only get 1 ballot \"ticket\". Good thing is if your ticket gets picked, both twins will get in. So technically speaking, if they are balloting for the last seat and you get picked, then the school is obligated to open up an extra seat to accommodate your 2 children.
Hope this helps.
Thks for the info.
Have another qns. Balloting in Ph 2C Sup, will priority be given to those within 1 km as well? -

I think you need to read http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/understanding-singapore-primary-school-registration-processes.

The chart clearly states which phases have distance priority.

As expected, popular schools which did not reduce total vacancies this year has more vacancies available for 2B this compared to last year due to lower birth rate in 2003. Such as St Nick, ATS, PHPS, CHIJ (Katong, Kellock, OLGC), DLS, NHPS, KHS, MBS, TNS, ACS(Pri), SJIJ, MTS, FMPS, NCPS, Rosyth… Parents eyeing these schools at phase 2B should be happy…
But there are still some schools which buck the trend, such as CH, CHIJ(OLQP, OLTN), HPPS, MGS, NYPS, RGPS, SCGS, ACS(Jr) and PCPS which see less vacancies available for 2B this year despite not cutting the total intake. Mmm… -

...... Parents eyeing these schools at phase 2B should be happy......
likewise for Parents applying under Phase 2C since the vacancies are split 50-50 ...
then again, the higher number of vacancies available in Phase 2B may attract more grassroots leaders to these schools -
Hi all, I am new here. This question of mine may have been answered in the past. Please bear with me.
I am alumni to SCGS which means my daughters will get in at phase 2A1. However SCGS is further than MGS (within 1km). MGS means my mil or maid can walk them to school conveniently.
Any good advice on how I should take?
- just go for SCGS
- skip SCGS and bet on MGS that <1km no need to ballot
- apply for transfer after they started school
I suppose I can’t register in SCGS and subsequently try the <1km at MGS right? The records would have been updated that my girls have registered elsewhere… -

We won't be able to determine how many grassroot leaders would apply in Phase 2B. Only PV able to gauge.
