      Champion:
      Dear Leane,

Thanks so much for your help; really appreciates.

I will make a trip to Popular to check out those assessment books by Fairfield Publishing; thanks :celebrate:
Popular seems to be our FAVOURITE shopping place...it's like my 'Takashimaya'. HahaHa.

      Champion,
Don't go ga-ga in Popular. There are MANY authors/publishers for Science.

:goodpost: HaHa...Yes, Agrees! Trying very hard to control my \"temptation\" not to go into Popular but \"my legs will carry me there!\" :rotflmao: Maybe...can suggest to Popular to have a \"Popular Credit Card\" so that whatever $$ spent can earn us points to redeem for other items πŸ˜‰

          Ladies,

I quite paisay......I go Popular about 2-3 times a week πŸ˜‰. But of course, the marginal utility kicks in when you can do it so often........

Twice a week, after my exercise, I will roam around until time to fetch kids....so naturally, Popular will be one of the place to end up in. On Sat/Sun, while waiting for kids' to finish tuition, will again patronize....think they really brand themselves correctly....POPULAR.

But seriously, I dun have the patience to go through one-by-one. I'm amazed how you mommies can analyze each of them.....my process quite simple.....flip, OK, buy, nah do this ....really gotta learn from all of you. And because I already have sooooo many at home, I tried taking out some older version P6 to try last night (better start working my brain)....first page, I dozed off :scared: Think I need esspreso and chicken essense.......

            Hi Champion,

I agree. Popular should tie up with Maybank for credit card…so that we earn points for credit card and popular points. Then for sure my Popular supplementary card sure to earn many points.

              Hi cwc,
Actually I pick up these tips from parents here like Janet and the rest :celebrate:. I used to \"See Nice - grab - Go Q-up - Pay - go home get DD to do it\" But now I learn (patience & stamina too) to stand at Popular to browse thru one by one especially those recommended by parents in the forum before buying. I also exchange tips with parents at Popular if I see them browsing the same level as me :please:

Can't possibly analyze each book. I have backache each time I go to Popular...reason is EPH books are on top shelf while SAP publisher books are on bottom shelf. I am also the 'see-appropriate-buy' kind...not able to go through page by page.
For Science however, buying assessment books is more tricky. Question format for open-ended is tougher and EPH books are not that good in that area. Authors like Renee Chong and Mabel Cheong are suitable for MCQ.

                  Janet,
I have the same backache prob too 😒 So, at times I just take a few copies that I want to browse, go to a corner, lean against the wall and start flipping thru... πŸ˜‰ I have to agree that IMM Popular is less crowded esp on weekdays late morning to late afternoon period so I can \"take my own sweet time\" to stand there :imcool:...Just hope that the CCTV is not \"aiming\" at me all the time else I will soon be \"blacklisted\" there

If there are 2 books to compare, then have to stand for longer time. Popular is not Borders, can sit down to read.
Don't worry, you won't get blacklisted, but remember not to sit down or the staff will go after you.

Popular should tie up with Maybank for credit card...

FYI the Maybank Family & Friends credit card has a tie up with Popular, Cold Storage, NTUC, Guardian etc, there's a 5% cash back when it's used at these places : http://info.maybank2u.com.sg/personal/cards/credit/family-friends-platinum-mastercard.aspx

I have Maybank Family & Friends card. Monthly bills chalked mostly at Popular. Guardian Pharmacy just started accepting Maybank for rebate. For NTUC, I use their credit card for discount.
