Hi all,
There will be a new primary school at
Jurong West Junction of Jurong West St 61 and 63
(Next to blocks 656B and 658C), near Pioneer MRT.
It will commence its operation on Jan 2012
for primary one pupils.
How do fellow parents feel abt a NEW primary school?
Will you send ur child there? -
i will try on 2C Supplementary.

There are pros and cons to new schools.
It is a blank slate, so it has the potential to become very good or slide... It would depend a lot on the P's vision and her team, I think.
Hence, I would need quite a bit of info before I decide. Like, who will be the P, how many classes are they opening, how many levels and how many teachers. Would they have enough teachers?
I would like to see the school too, the physical facilities.
Now it's still under construction, so I'm not sure if we get to see it before we have to register.
One fun thing about new schools is the uniform. Usually they look good and are more contemporary/ modern? -

the P is usually appointed in Dec.
The school will commence operation with P1 classes only.
Opening of P2 and above classes will depend on demand and resources.
Interested parents can approach the sch (when functioning) to put child's name on waiting list for sch to gauge demand. -

Hopefully, something hip! -

I think the P and VP should be known already? Cos they'd have to put together the team and they would be putting out fliers and advertising soon. They won't have a Phase 1 for P1 Registration definitely. No Phase 2A also? But I think they'd have to put out their publicity and the info for parents before Phase 2B at the least, otherwise they won't get their students?

I heard that they'd release more info to all parents at a soft launch later on, and they would let the community around here know abt it. I'd definitely go and attend to know more. -

[/quote] Hi Yerdua, heard that the new school is named \"Frontier Primary\". I will only register my DD if we are unsuccessful in both Phase 2B & 2C as i'm still not aware of the academic standard for this school
