:? it's weird how you ask such questions after completing your pv and waiting for registration next week. is the answer going to change you mind in registering at Poi ching?
My concerns are:
1. Will there be too much home work?
for other questions on poi ching, please post http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=452&start=0. -
Hi.
Is there a lot of homework for Poi Ching?
I am scared that every night I have to sit with my kids to support him on his homework β¦ but if only 2 weeks per week may be ok.
Do they offer any help to students who may be a bit slow?
I heard stories that SAP school teachers push parents to have kids go for tuition for many subjects. Does that happen with Poi Ching?
Thanks. -
Hi.
My kid is going to Poi Ching P1 next year.
Any recommendation for good transport arrangement (special van, car pool, etc)?
How is the standard school bus? Do they come and pick up the kids few hours before school starts (coz they need to make long routes to pick many kids)?
Any special transport arrangement that can accomodate CCA hours in case my kids need to sign up for some CCA activities?
Thanks. -
Hi.
Can parents who have kids in Poi Ching share their experiences?
Whatβs good that you like?
Whatβs bad that you donβt like?
My kids is going to register next week for P1.
I am contemplating if I should register for Poi Ching or Gongshang.
We are qualified for both schools with our PV in both schools - Kiasu huh!
Thanks. -

Hi Kanghu,3. Does the school mix good and poor students together?
I know that schools nowadays try not to name the classes as A, B, ... F with A being the best class and F being the poorest class. They try to name them using some words/phrase which make it not so obvious which is a better class and which is not. But I also heard there are schools whereby the litterally mix the top student with middle standards students and then the middle standard students with the poor students. I really don't quite like the later idea. Which is the case for Poi Ching?
As regards to whether the school mix good & poor students together, I know from my friend that her son will need to take a test during the orientation. From there, the school will choose two best class out. As for the remaining class, I am not too sure whether they go by the child's standard or not. Hope this little info helps ! Maybe you need to wait for amylqf to answer more of your queries as her kid is in Poi Ching. -

Every time when people talk about Poi Ching School, you redirect them to the link you posted. Whenever time I clicked on that link it brings me back to the same thread. But then, the discussion is discontinued or diverted by your post. I know you mean well... could you please check your link or it is just my browser problem.... coz I really want to hear other parents feedback on Poi Ching School which will help me make some important decision.
Thank you. -

:? Is that the case? cos i checked my link everytime i post a redirect link. perhaps the admin may want to check what is wrong with what you highlighted. In anycase, the redirection is to reduce the amount of duplicate threads - mods are supposed to merge the threads so that discussion is not disrupted by 'diversion' to the 'parent' thread.

gajidouma, I'm the one who have been merging your threads, not jedamum. I'm sure lots of people want to find out more about Poi Ching, but it requires someone who really knows about Poi Ching to speak up. I suppose we all just have to wait patiently until that happens...hi jedamum
