I do not think I can afford the risk trying for RMPS as I’m 1.7km away. Even if there’s a chance for balloting, the % might be very low.


The positive side of GESPS is no worries for transport as I’ll most likely register my gal for the after sch care.

Collected my PV letter from RMPS & decided to recee & see how RMPS. Agree with some of you had mentioned that the walkway seem very dark, give me the impression like 阴阳路 where may have some \"GHOST\" going to apprear out. :shock:

The classroom seem very old, wonder have the school undergoing major upgrading. Maybe can check with MOE when the school going to tear down & construct new one?

You are not considering RVPS?

Err..Titank. Chipmunks would have applied to RVPS under Phase 2A2 if she were still considering RVPS. She didn't, so RVPS is not within her consideration anymore.

Heard you had mentioned that yr friend even have a child in RMPS also encourage you to try RVPS? RMPS to her seem like a normal neighbourhood school?

It seem like many is asking me to try for RMPS but DS kindergarten heard quite a few is heading to RVPS.

That's right! As mentioned by her, she sent her elder son to RMPS initially because the school was near her parents' house. She used her parents' address for registering her elder son. According to her, at that time, RM was not popular at all. There were still vacancies left after children in her category (1-2 km) were given places in the school.

Why did your friends/relatives ask you to go for RMPS instead? Perhaps you might like to bring your son to the schools this weekend and ask him which school he wants to go to.

Seems like RVPS is more flexible for you, since the transport operators do make extra trips to cater for students who go back during the \"abnormal\" time.

Boys seem to want to follow/go with their friends more than girls. My boy wanted to go to the same school as his friends, but he couldn't tell me which schools his friends would be going when I asked him.

My though will be the same as Maozai.... for us which is within 1- 2km sure will face balloting...if RM can't get in... by P2C Supp then goes GESP might hav to face another balloting....that stressful.....

GESPL has a in house student care...I need to place my boy in the student care. I prefer a in house student care.

Hi QMS,

RMPS PSLE showed great improvement only in 2007 onwards, that why your friend maybe felt that RMPS is just a neighborhood school during that time. Now look at the current take up rate, already 64% which almost 5 classes being taken up in this year registration.

Many of my friends asking me to try RMPS since I had done PV, other parents want to go in RMPS also no chance. Ha..ha in-fact I had bring my DS to view the 2 schools, seem that he do not have any comments on it. RVPS P2 onwards is in the morning, therefore the concern for staying back would be in 2011. The RVPS school bus do cater certain days (Maybe 2 days in a week) for those staying back due to ECA or remedial. If enroll RMPS, DS in P3 should be able to take SBS bus I suppose.

Anyway both schools (RVPS & RMPS) are academically competitive, I would now have to evaluate on the logistics arrangement.

Oh! Somewhere earlier, Chipmunks mentioned she asked the staff this question, and the reply from the staff was \"not for the next 2 years\". So, the condition is here to stay for a while.
