How do you handle your hamster that died of old age? Find a spot and bury them? Where would be more appropriate? If can't find such a spot, how?

Some hamsters can live beyond 24 mths. I would like to know what are the signs of old age for a hamster. Lack of appetite, sleeps most of the time etc?cascada:

So when a hamster is old, much of the fur is gone ? Mine does not run the wheel at all and sleeps a lot.
