IMM is nice indeed. the kids love the water play area. that was one of the first in Sg malls? after that, there were so many other choices, like the zoo's and science center's.janet_lee88:

How about IMM ? Now that kids are in morning school, I will go there to enjoy air con or walk to Popular
as hubby works from home, we will pick them up during his lunch hour.
I live nearer Jurong Point so I normally go there. seems to me JP is crowded at all times too! though 11am is one of the least crowded times i guess.
I simply dislike JP, bcos it's always crowded. I have a phobia for crowds and sometimes need to stand at a corner to 'cool' down before continuing to walk. However, JP is rather far for me. IMM is the best, 3 hours FREE parking. -

a stroll at the park, reservoir or supermarket, visit the library, an hr play at the amusement park, swimming..
if my hubby is available to be Mr Ahmad
, will drop us to places like library, amusement park, etc .....if he cannot fetch us home, will take public transport...very troublesome but still manageable since the bus less pack at this off-peak hours....that's why we considering to move to a place where the amenities are nearer (at least within walking distance so that i dun have to rely on my hubby) from where we stay... where do you stay, is your place near to those amenities? in any case, usually we dun venture far, since time is short, got to fetch the elder two by noon....
wow this sound so challenging and mission impossible...you must be superwoman to handle this situation :celebrate: if i were you, i will stop the car otherwise my migrane will come on, very stressful and dangerous with so much distraction going on...have you tried using dvd, or ipad, or iphone, let her watch some shows? or play the apps on the phone? btw, how old is your kid? boy or gal?..
thanks for all the suggestions!
i live pretty near to some amenities. the library, jurong point, park are within walking distance.
i think my dd lacks outdoor time. she would the park i think, but i seldom bring her cos the park is rather new so all the trees are so young. you know those transplanted ones? no shade, very hot now.
past few months always raining then now 9am very hot already...
so my dail routine becomes quite fixed. inadvertently would put bb in stroller and walk towards jp. though i'm beginning to feel it is probably bad for me to create a \"mall-going\" habit for her!
i bring her to the library every 2-3 weeks cos i go when the DVDs and books are due. i guess it would be better to walk there more regularly than to jp!

my no. 3 is a girl. first 2 are boys.
err, i don't have ipad, iphone nor dvd player in car lei...
single income, must be very selective what i spend on...
but the iphone truly has a lot of apps i like so i'm really tempted to get it once my current contract ends.
for the time being, i just don't drive her around much. hope she gets better as she gets older. too stressful for me. -

My breathing time is from 7am to 1pm now. Come 130pm, the house will become a zoo again. If my 'Ahmad' happens to be at home certain day and my legs are itch, then we will go to IMM...he will work at Mac while I roam.
what line is your dh in? so good, he can work from home all week?
i totally second that, about the zoo!! -

ya the free parking is very nice.
i don't like crowds either. with the centris residents, the mrt and bus interchange pp, the entire jurong industrial employees and all the school students (incl ntu), hard not to be crowded..
they should come up with another mall at lakeside area. best if they can have an Ikea here too. kekekeke -

just call me kabby.. not sure if the great Russian composer will turn in his grave by me doing that to his name, but i think it sounds nicer and more affectionate :love:Hi kabalevsky,
Don't have $$$ for private sales...besides as SAHM, don't need much clothes. As SAHM, I save on clothes, makeup and transport...as well as other misc stuff.
ya true...
i do spend much much less on these things nowadays.
i find myself spending the most on the kids!! and maybe food..
another disadvantage of walking to jp everyday is that i'd spend buying bubble tea and other snacks!! -
