Thanks for the reminder!! So in this case, the P1s will be doing some task on the topic of \"shapes\" for the AA this coming Monday... I don't have much time to coach her then cos am gg out of town for work from thursday to sunday, oh dear...The diff between MA & AA was mentioned during the Briefing for Parents of P1 children. Refer to the link below:

As what is the purpose, i have no idea as well. :?
Based on the slide, guessed that MA is more on written test and AA is more on hand-on. -

There is also oral (english & chinese) during the last week of April and listening comprehension on 28th. Wonder how to prepare them for it???
-
I got some oral assessments so did a few sessions with my girl to have an idea of oral tests…
Btw, just received Chinese memo informing us the topics to be tested for MA2 which is about a month’s time… OMG!! Some of my friends’ kids don’t even have homework, tests or CAs… -
Actually we didn’t know how to prepare DS for the maths AA today. We just told him to be careful, not to make any careless mistakes, and make him recall what teacher did in class. Think his teacher did a shapes games with them last week.
Hopefully he does ok for the AA.
There is a Chinese Oral Assessment book in Popular, which we bought to practise with DS. We’ll be using the same book for english, hahaha, as in using the same pictures to do description in English…Hopefully it helps. -

Reason why thread is so quiet is that nobody knows what the AAs consist of and kindof stressed? At least this is true for me. Cant believe the next MA is 2 weeks’ away. Pant pant!
My son told me the test easy too. Asked to sort tangram pieces taken from a bag. There was a worksheet.
Next week’s Picture Discussion, I’m going over with him book covers to practise picture description.
Looking forward to after MA2. Should be able to relax for rest of May and June (hopefully only reading homework.)
