        Hi there,

Would appreciate if anyone could share their experiences of having their child in Clementi Primary. Am hoping that it is not a school that emphasises too much on academic achievement. ๐Ÿ™‚

        Thanks

I dont think so. Like every school in Singapore, Clementi Primary also emphasizes on academic achievement.

            Hi Tris86,

Maybe you can elaborate on \"emphasis too much on academic achievement\"? ๐Ÿ™‚

              Hi,

Does anyone has an extra copy of Joy Reader record book? My DSโ€™s classmate who collected all the books lost his and teacher is still unable to find it. I checked with the bookstore and the lady said there is no more stock and no new stock too. We are using exercise book to record at home now.

My DS1 is in P1 this year. The school curriculum is good and they have incorporated enrichment program of Rope skipping, chess, IT and Arts every Wednesday while the teachers are having meeting. Except for rope skipping and IT the rest were taught by external parties. They also reward students for good behavor and leadership with \"Model Pupil\" and \"Best Captain\" in every term. They encourage holistic learning and hence there will be excursion to Zoo, Library, Science center to make learning fun. There are a lot of good parent volunteers that help weaker kids on their English, Chinese and Math during the Learning Support program.

However being a neighbourhood school there will be children of unprivileged family background and hence there will be times where I will hear my DS1 complaint about children not behaving in class or not able to complete their work and some other stuff. I think that would be part of growing process and I will encourage him to learn to accept people who are different and help those who are weaker. ๐Ÿ˜„

                    Hi bezzlay,

Thank u for the feedback. Sounds good. How are the teachers? Any homework?

We are thinking if we should just go for Qifa without balloting. But canโ€™t seem to find any feedback about the school

My DS1 form and chinese teachers are good and strict. Homework is not a lot but for those who are better in Math they are given more worksheets to complete. I think that's b'cos the form teacher is also the director of the Math dept.

                        Hi bezzlay,

Thanks again. Forgot to ask, are they on single session? 7.30am to 1pm?

Do they conduct tests at p1 and p2 cos some schools do that
