Recently I attended a course and in the room, there was a coffee making machine for participants. I did not know how to use ituntil I saw somebody popped something like a chip which contained coffee powder into a gap in that machine…

Is this the machine that you are talking about?

Hi starlight1968sg, the Nespresso uses Capsules which contain coffee powder... Very interesting. I'm outside now otherwise I can post some pictures for you. Alternatively, you can go to Nespresso website to check out the coffee makers to see if it's the same you saw at your course... πŸ˜„

I think Tangs is selling the Pixie.

yes, you have used the right term \"capsules\".
No, I am not buying as I can't afford. I am quite ok with 3in1 cheap coffee.

Happy Mama, you might want to consider the new Pixie. It's without a frother and you mentioned you don't like frothers. And it's the latest model. Very cute in a lot of colours and very portable.

See, cute cute small small, just like your Z machine. πŸ˜„

Jtoh, really? Is this the substitute for the basic model?

3-in-1s are very convenient. Add hot water and you get your coffee. πŸ˜‰

Don't know if it's the substitute but it's the newest in the range. See details here: http://www.nespresso.com/#/sg/en/coffee_machines/selecteur_gamme/machines-pixie/pixie---electric-red-2

It's similar to the basic that I like... the Essenza is now $318 versus the Pixie at $398 (Tangs sellign $348). If the features are pretty much the same, I don't mind getting the Essenza. Got to check it out at the store first before buying. πŸ˜‰

One of the reason why I'm hesitating is also because my kitchen top is already full of stuff and I'm thinking hard where to place my machine. In the hall? :?

Happy Mama, go to the boutiques and take a look. I think the Pixie is very small compared to the Essenza, so it doesn't take up much space in your kitchen or hall. Like I said, cute cute, small small, got many colours. Perfect accompaniment to your Z machine. Everyday can leem designer kopi, makan freshly-baked bread and make your own kaya.
